As one of the biggest sports companies in the world, Nike has also the best and most viewed advertisement. It stars almost all the major soccer stars from Ronaldo, Neymar Jr., Iniesta, Ibramovic, Andrea Pirlo and Rooney with a special appearance from the fictional superhero HULK. The most viewed WC commercial, it has already reached about 80 million views within two months of its release. From local kids playing in the park to the big guns getting cheered by the audience in the ground, Nike has binned humor, strength, style and lots of awesomeness to present in this advertisement.



GOL!-McDonalds
When other companies are busy spilling out money on some big names to star in their ads, McD’s have done just the opposite by searching local talent to promote the game. It features people of all ages showing off their soccer tricks and skills by shoots, aims and freestyle.

House Match-Adidas
Who says soccer is an outdoor game, when you have legends like Zidane and Beckham, and current hotshots like Bale and Lucas in your house. Adidas, like its brand reputation has taken the game to the next level, this time by their crazy commercial. They broke the stereotype, that football is not restricted to only grounds, park or street, it can be played in the house as well. A word of caution, you better have a good insurance backup, because on your way to score one, you might break some stuff!

The funniest ad of FIFA, one will burst out laughing watching this 30 second clip. Where in a local hospital in Spain, pregnant couples are rushing in at the same time posing a BIG question on the nurses, where one of them asks, “What happened 9 months ago?”. Check it out.

ESPN created this clever ad by showing people from various cities of the world, from Rio to London, Kumasi to Valencia, Moscow to Tehran, Osaka to Seattle, Guadalajara to Los Andes, come together to watch a football match and cheer their heart out for their respective teams. The punch line of the video comes at last which explains a lot, ‘Every 4 years, the world has one time zone’.

One can’t simply resist football whether it is the WC or not, but one who doesn’t, don’t panic, Adriana Lima will definitely make you switch as one doesn’t simply disobey the Brazilian bombshell. The ad uses the tagline ‘For one month, let’s all be football fans’.

And this video brings back some old bitter-sweet memories from the 2006 WC final where Zidane attacked Italian defender Materazzi with his (in)famous head-butt. VISA makes an adept attempt where the Frenchman enters an Italian restaurant, which instantly excites the viewers with notions like ‘this is not mundane’ and the clip shows the same. As there is a football match going on between France and Italy, and Zidane is the sole supporter gets a stern, despicable from its inhabitants. A must-watch advert.
