Samsung Made The Top Ad Of The Year - And It Was For A Fridge
While 72andSunny should be commended for its snarky, Apple bashing Galaxy spots, Samsung's ad for a huge french door refrigerator actually performed best with viewers as the most creatively effective ad of 2012.
It wasn't even for Samsung's cool fridge with the LCD screen.
Leo Burnett Chicago made the spot for the appliance that boasts the ability to make 11 pounds of ice a day.
The spot got a score of 697 out of 950, which was the highest overall rating for any of the 6,000 national campaigns that launched last year. Measurements are based on watchability, relevance, attention, persuasion, and information.
The runner up was also by a fridge, this time for Frigidaire.
