IPL shatters its previous viewership records on its opening match as 200 million people tune in to watch Dream11 IPL 2020

Indian Premier League sets a new record. BCCI

Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary took to Twitter to share the numbers.
He wrote, “Highest ever opening day viewership for any sporting league in any country- no league has ever opened as big as this.”

Dream11 Indian Premier League 2020 created history on its first day. 200 million people tuned in to watch the opening match between Chennai Super King and Mumbai Indians on Star Sports and Disney+ Hostar.

As per BARC, this has been the highest ever opening day viewership for any sporting league in any country.

The 13th edition of Dream11 IPL commenced on September 19 and will conclude on November 08.
