Mahindra Rise salutes the challenger spirit of women in science

• Science has led to amazing discoveries that have improved the lives of billions of people around the world.
• Globally, around 30% of researchers and only 35% of all students enrolled in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) are female.
• So, on February 11, which is celebrated as International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Mahindra Rise launched a campaign as an ode to women in science.

On the occasion of ‘International Day of Women and Girls in Science,’ Mahindra Rise celebrated some of the brave, intelligent and revolutionary women who displayed scientific excellence in the face of insurmountable odds. Inspiring a generation of thinkers to accept no limits and drive positive change.

The film created by 22feet Tribal Worldwide, depicts a poem narrated by Pallavi Mahajan, who herself is a woman in Science. The film captures the ripple effect of these women's "zidd" on generations of women to come.


It is an ode to the challenger spirit of women who shatter the glass ceiling and pave the way for many more to #Rise.

Mahindra Rise strives to propagate equality in education & has led various initiatives like Nanhi Kali, founded in 1996, to bridge the gap of education amongst underprivileged girls.
