Cannes Lions announces shortlists for Titanuim, Glass and Innovation Lions; No shortlists from India

  • Cannes Lions has announced shortlists for three categories today including Titanuim Lions, Glass Lions and Innovation Lions.
  • However, no Indian entry has been shortlisted in any of the three categories.
  • The USA leads in terms of the number of shortlists in all three categories.

Cannes Lions has announced shortlists for three categories today including Titanuim Lions, Glass Lions and Innovation Lions. However, no Indian entry has been shortlisted in any of the three categories.

The Titanium category had 20 shortlists with the USA leading with 8 shortlists. The USA was followed by the UK with 3 shortlists. The other shortlists were from Canada, UAE, Ireland, Brazil, Italy, Sweden, Germany and Spain.

The Glass Lions also saw 20 shortlists, with USA taking the lead with 8 shortlists. The other shortlists were from Singapore, Brazil, South Africa, Turkey, UK and Spain.

The Innovation Lions announced shortlists under four different categories, Early Stage Technology category, Applied Innovation, Brand Strategy & Experience and Product Innovation. The USA took the lead here too with a total of 5 shortlists across the four categories.

This year, Cannes Lions Live will take place from June 21-25. The festival this year will be a combination of lives and on-demand content, networking, community meet ups and performances - alongside the awards.

Speaking about the first batch of shortlists, Simon Cook, Managing Director, LIONS, said, “We’re delighted to announce the first shortlists, across two years’ of creative work, for the first time in Cannes Lions’ history. Thanks to all of our jurors from right across the globe who play a vital part in benchmarking creative excellence and setting the creative bar for the future.”
