Ashima Goyal addressed the transient nature of youth unemployment in India, highlighting a shift towards skill acquisition and entrepreneurship. Speaking to PTI, she emphasizes policy interventions to enhance opportunities for the youth and the importance of balancing FDI benefits and domestic investments. Goyal was responding to a question on the International Labour Organization (ILO) report -- which showed that in 2022, the share of unemployed youths in India's total unemployed population was nearly 83 per cent.
