If you have been wondering whether social networking platforms like Facebook or WhatsApp will be able to facilitate money-based mobile transactions then the solution is here and it’s called Oxigen Wallet.
This service enables you to make third-party payments i.e. phone, DTH/TV and even electricity bills. In addition to that, you can also make bank-related transactions that was earlier associated with bank-centric apps or netbanking only. But you might argue that these things are already available across plethora of such service applications. So how is it different with Oxigen? Well, for starters, you can make use of social mediums like Facebook and Whatsapp among others to conduct money transactions. The app is basically the source of conducting such money-related activities and does not hold down your money, which is always lying in the bank. Oxigen has joined hands with Fastcash which has made the proposition of making money sending possible on your mobile, anytime and anywhere.
Oxigen talks about the app being encrypted with 128 bit SSL, the banking standard and vouches for a hassle-free authenticated monetary experience on-the-go. “Our app is enabling consumers to make quick bank activities that may not be possible during late hours or weekends. The standard RBI guidelines are being followed which has a specific set of limit of a transaction for a day and even across the month,” said Ankur Saxena, president – Technology at Oxigen.
Just like your bank ATM card, wherein you get 4-digit PIN number, with every Oxigen Wallet account, you can make use of your mobile number, along with 6-digit transaction code sent over to you by the merchant. One interesting thing to note about the Wallet is that, after every 6 months, the money in your account expires, so you are better off making transactions on a regular basis.
Oxigen Wallet is available on Google Play Store and Apple App store which can be accessed via PC as well.
