The battle at TechGig Code Gladiators 2017 has intensified and out of over two lakh coders, only 10,000 could make it to the semi-finals.
Interestingly, while working professionals constituted 72% of the participants, youngsters took the cake as they overshadowed the experienced professionals in qualifying as 69% of top scorers have less than two years of experience.
While Bengaluru coders led the pack in terms of participations, Delhi-NCR had the best results with most top scorers.
In terms of coding technologies, over 42% of the coders preferred coding in C, while 35% preferred coding in Java. Top scorers in Round One used Java, C, C++, Python, C# and PHP as their top languages.
Top companies are keenly watching TechGig, which has won the Limca Book National Record for being India’s largest coding contest both in 2015 and 2016.
Ramathreya Krishnamurthi, Business Head, TechGig.com, said, “We are delighted to see such massive participation and successful completion of first round. TechGig Code Gladiators is all about identifying and showcasing the new wave of tech talent that emerges every year, and revealing their coding chops to top corporates across the country.”
