After a gap of sometime, China’s domestic phonemaker Xiaomi has regained the number 1 position in its own country. It is followed by Huawei, another Chinese phone maker who came second in the list.World leader in smartphone iPhone has been pushed to the third position. Concerns are being raised that the US phonemaker might not sustain its sales momentum in the world's biggest smartphone market.(which is number one market and do you have any claims to justify that)
In terms of market share, Xiaomi currently has 18 % market share; the brand effectively used social channels for marketing and achieved new sales volume records during the second quarter. Huawei’s market share is 16 %, and it is riding high on the success of its heavily promoted giant version of P8 phablet.
However, the world's most valuable public company Apple’s market share is just 12 %, while Vivo bagged the fourth spot maintaining a market share of 10 %, state-run People's Daily reported.
Korean electronics giant Samsung, once the top smartphone vendor in China, fell to fifth position with a market share of 9 % only, despite launching its flagship phone, the Galaxy S6.
