Glenn Jacobs, more commonly known as WWE wrestler Kane, demolished his Democratic opponent to be elected as mayor of Knox County, Tennessee on Thursday, CNN reported.
Jacobs, a Republican, won the election by a landslide against Linda Haney - earning 51,804 votes to Haney's 26,224.
The WWE star faced much stiffer competition in the Republican primary, defeating his GOP opponent Brad Anders by only 23 votes.
Celebrating his victory at his watch party, Jacobs said, "This professional wrestler got into a no-holds-barred, last-man-standing match, and when the bell rung, he was victorious. We were victorious."
WWE congratulated Jacobs on his victory in a tweet.
Jacobs, who is seven feet tall and weighs 320 pounds, will now lead the third-most populous county in Tennessee.
Knox County and is home to roughly 460,000 people, according to the US Census Bureau.
As county major, Jacobs will be the chief executive officer in Knox County. The county seat of Knox County is Knoxville, which also has its own mayor.
Politically, Jacobs leans toward libertarian perspectives on policy matters, opposing tax increases and favoring limited government, the Knoxville News Sentinel reports.
Jacobs, who is 50 and also runs an insurance and real estate company, become involved in the WWE in the mid-1990s and even continued to make appearances as his fan-favorite, red-masked character Kane during his campaign, according to Bleacher Report.

Relatedly, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has admitted to "seriously considering" running for president, though he recently said he'd need to get more experience before going through with it.
