Today marked the end of the Queen's official birthday celebrations after three days of parades and parties.

The Queen holds official celebrations for her birthday in June despite her actual birthday being on April 21.

The main event this year was the Patron's Lunch which celebrated the Queen's patronage of more than 600 charities in Britain and throughout the commonwealth. Over 10,000 people lined The Mall (the road leading up to Buckingham Palace), to take part in the UK's biggest ever street party.

In order to attend, revellers had to pay a hefty £150 for a ticket. In return, they received a sizeable food hamper, a free poncho, and a seat at a table.
