Why Windows 10 won't replace the iPad at work

Windows 10 will be officially available on Wednesday and businesses are expected to embrace it, says Gartner analyst Steve Kleynhans, vice president of mobile and client computing research.

That's because IT departments will have far less work when switching from Windows 7 to Windows 10 than they did to move from XP to Windows 7.

On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be a killer reason from companies to stampede to Windows 10 immediately - not even support for touchscreens.

And Kleynhans doesn't think that Windows 10 will threaten the iPad's march into the enterprise.
