With Amazon’s global store launched in India recently, Indian online buyers will now be spoilt for choices.

They will have direct access to international brands and a starting selection of over four million global products across 12 categories. The good news for those who had to travel all the way to the US to satiate their shopping cravings will have a host of Amazon US products at their disposal. Soon, more categories and countries from where products would be available will be added to the portal.

Customers will see the price of a product in INR, basically the final price of the item after adding import duties and taxes.

Amazon is also providing quick delivery options like ‘Priority Shipping’, which is transit in 2 to 4 days, ‘Expedited Shipping’ in 5 to 10 days and ‘Standard Shipping’ that takes 9 to 12 days.
Customers can only order items via credit or debit cards and net banking, but not avail cash on delivery.

With the launch, the company has assured that they will manage the customs process and refund value if the actual import fees is less than the import deposit charged. It also buyers to verify themselves with an ID proof on the delivery of items. If the delivery is not honored, they will provide a refund, but not replacements.
