Stranger Things 3

After two years, Netflix is launching its much awaited Season 3 on Thursday. It will probably unravel the mystery of another world ‘Upside Down’ with demogorgons which will probably take over theirs, in a story that is set in the summer of 1985.

Inspired by Stephen King-like thrillers, the Season 1 of the series was an outright success but Season 2 did not match up to it. The eight episodes of third season might be the charm.

Jennifer Bisset from CNET believes that this is the best season of Stranger Things so far.

Arjun Reddy

Even as Kabir Singh is inching towards becoming this year’s blockbuster, netizens are crazy about the Telugu original, Arjun Reddy.

The movie, starring Vijay Deverakonda, tells the story of a degenerate surgeon whose anger and temper lead him into a drug addiction after his long-time girlfriend marries someone else.

Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy won accolades but were also criticised for ‘toxic masculinity’.

Vishnupriya Bhandaram from First Post writes “The depiction of anger/insolence/and ‘free spiritedness’/’does as he pleases’ as some form of alpha male attitude/attributes is deeply problematic.”
