Interactive art and technology will become an integral part of Karnataka after a partnership of the state with the city of San Francisco.

Both cities have agreed to collaborate to "envision, define and install" art and technology in public spaces near Cubbon Park and Vidhana Soudha stations as well as the Civic San Francisco's Civic Center Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station, according to a letter of intent signed by San Francisco Mayor Edwin M Lee and Karnataka's Commissioner for Industrial Development Gaurav Gupta on November 30. The collaboration will take place in the next 18 months, the agreement states.
