We went to the National Beard and Moustache Championships - and things got weird

Hairy-faced men from around the country descended on Brooklyn's historic Kings Theatre Saturday for the Just for Men National Beard and Moustache Championships.

300 contestants competed in 18 beard and moustache categories, ranging from the Dali Moustache to the Full-Beard Freestyle. An overall grand prize winner was also crowned.

We encountered plenty of colorful characters, from a man who stayed up all night crafting his beard to a guy who molded his facial hair into the shape of a birdcage. Consider it the ultimate Movember inspiration.
