Fashion designer Kate Spade, 55, was found dead in a reported suicide on Tuesday.

Spade and her husband, Andy Spade, founded the namesake fashion brand in 1993, and sold their entire stake in the company in 2006 to Neiman Marcus. Presently, Coach parent company Tapestry owns Kate Spade New York; they bought it in 2017 for $2.4 billion.

While Spade hasn't been involved in the fashion brand for more than a decade, the company posted a banner on its website commemorating her death.

It reads:

"Kate Spade, the visionary founder of our brand, has passed. Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly heartbreaking time. We honor all the beauty she brought into this world."
