Watch out WhatsApp, Satya Nadella just announced their latest built-for-India Communication App, Skype Lite

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is in India for the company's two day event Future Decoded and at the event, Nadella announced Skype Lite, a communication app that is designed for India.
Skype Lite will be a whole new app for Android and can be downloaded from Play Store. In terms of being designed for India, the company says Skype Lite app can work efficiently on low bandwidth as well. The app can detect the kind of network user is getting access to and function accordingly. It has services like messaging, sharing, calling, and bot services. It has a data manager and comes with Aadhaar verification. Also, Skype Lite app is available only in India.
Skype has been extremely popular with its video calling and now Microsoft is looking to ride on that popularity and bring in the communication app. WhatsApp has been a market leader in India and continues to be prime communication app for Indians, Microsoft spokesperson says it understands the place WhatsApp enjoys in India but believes people can use multiple apps.
