As Americans continue to rally around those affected by Hurricane Harvey's devastation, a new video of one dramatic rescue has emerged.

The video posted on Twitter shows a lifted Cadillac Escalade, riding on monster truck-sized tires, towing a submerged medium-tactical vehicle from the US military. Onlookers cheered as the Escalade cautiously began towing the vehicle from the depths of the flood.

"Redneck Army saves National Guard. #thisisAmerica #HurricaneHarvey #HoustonStrong," @michaelkeyes tweeted with the video.

At one point, the Escalade pauses as water from the partially submerged vehicle begins to drain, decreasing the overall weight of the tow. Another truck also begins to assist while a uniformed soldier guides the vehicles.

Record rainfall from Harvey has devastated entire cities throughout southeastern Texas. Gov. Greg Abbott has mobilized all 12,000 members of the Texas National Guard to assist in relief efforts. Active-duty units were also on standby to help, according to Military.com.

The Texas National Guard's activation appears to be making a difference. So far, 3,801 people have been rescued, the US Department of Defense said.
