US Futures Are Ramping Up

The U.S. stock markets will open in around an hour.

For now U.S. futures are pointing to a higher open. Dow futures are up 77 points. S&P 500 futures are up 8 points.

Dow futures actually added around 25 points in the last few minutes.

This move appears to reflect optimism that Washington will be able to make a deal that would raise the debt ceiling and reopen the government.
