Emirates airlines, Middle East's biggest long-haul carrier, has announced that the US government has exempted it from its ban on laptops being carried in airplane cabins in flights from several Middle-East nations.
The Dubai-based carrier has said that it has put in new security measures and that the ban had been lifted with immediate effect.
This has happened after Abu Dhabi-based Etihad airlines also announced its exemption from the ban.
Similarly, Istanbul-based Turkish Airlines has tweeted saying that the ban imposed has been lifted for its flights, and the Saudi Arabian Airlines has expressed its hopes that it would join the list on or before July 19.
