TV Reporter Shames And Embarrasses Drunk Passerby In Bizarre Live Interview At The Super Bowl
YouTubeWKMG-6 in Orlando sent reporter Jessica Sanchez to New Orleans to cover the Super Bowl.
On the news yesterday morning, Sanchez was doing a live report on Bourbon Street when an apparently drunk woman came up to her and started to talk.
Sanchez was offended, so she passive-aggressively asked the woman about where she got her first STD. The exchange:
Sanchez: "... Basically what is left is people walking around with this glazed look in their eyes —"
Woman: "Heyyyy"
Sanchez: "— like this one behind me .... You're gonna do an interview with us?
Woman: "Sure."
Sanchez: "Okay because we were just talking about, here along Bourbon Street, the STD rate that has been going on here. So how long have you had an STD?"
Woman: "I don't have an STD."
Sanchez: "Ohhhhh, then why did you want to talk?" [in a sarcastic tone]
Woman: "Oh my goodness."
Sanchez: "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry." [sarcastic tone]
Woman: "I don't have an STD, that's disrespectful." [walks away, comes back to scream "49ers!!"]
Sanchez then says, "So you can see what I've been having to deal with out here."
It's just a mean-spirited move all around to shame and embarrass a woman on live TV because she dared to interrupt your report. Sanchez was also doing a report on what it's like on Bourbon Street at 6 a.m., so maybe she shouldn't have been so shocked and offended that there was a drunk person yelling things.
