  • President Donald Trump is not a big computer user.
  • However, he does use an iPad to read.
  • He reportedly calls it "the flat one."

President Donald Trump uses an iPad to read. He calls it "the flat one," according to a tweet from ABC News' Tara Palmeri

Trump's computer use was in focus this week as he attacked Google on Tuesday claiming it used its power over search to suppress conservative news about himself. (Google denies the accusation.)

While Trump may love to tweet, he's not really a big computer user. "He doesn't use a computer," New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman said on Twitter. "Someone is doing the googling but not him."

Trump has started increasingly lashing out at big tech companies, which plays well with his base, reports CNN's Oliver Darcy

In addition to Google, he frequently criticizes Amazon, which he has said takes advantage of the Postal Service, and whose CEO, Jeff Bezos, owns the Washington Post.

Trump used to criticize Apple during the presidential campaign, but since the election he's dined with CEO Tim Cook and has praised the company's announcement that it plans to spend hundreds of billions in the United States on suppliers and other expenses.

It sounds like Trump also prefers Apple devices these days. In addition to "the flat one," he uses two iPhones, one specifically for Twitter and news, and one for making phone calls. Before he became president, he tweeted using an unsecured Android phone made by Samsung.
