Trump Tower in New York City was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon, according to social media reports, though the evacuation has yet to be confirmed by authorities.
A source at the New York Police Department reportedly told WPIX reporter Myles Miller that the evacuation was sparked by "a suspicioius package."
Trump Tower is a 58-story skyscraper located in Midtown Manhattan on Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th streets. The skycraper is currently used as the headquarters for the Trump Organization, houses the primary residence of President-elect Donald Trump, and has been the primary site of Trump's presidential transition efforts since his November election victory.
