TRUMP: 'Pretty soon you won't be able to get guns'
"Pretty soon you won't be able to get guns. I mean, it's another step in the way of not getting guns," the Republican presidential front-runner said during a CNN interview.
Trump, who has vowed to reverse Obama's executive action, further panned the general concept of presidents effecting policy changes unilaterally.
"It's supposed to be negotiated," Trump said of federal law. "You're supposed to cajole, get people in a room. You're supposed to deal with them. You have Republicans. You have Democrats. You have all these people - they get elected to do this stuff. And you're supposed to get together and pass a law."
Trump accused Obama of being too lazy to work with Congress.
"He doesn't want to do that because it's too much work," Trump added. "He doesn't want to work too hard. He wants to go back and play golf. You try and get it done ... He's been away for two weeks playing golf, OK? He's not exactly trying very hard to get it done."
According to The Washington Post, Obama is set to meet Monday with Attorney General Loretta Lynch to finalize his executive action on guns, which "would require some unlicensed gun dealers to get licenses and conduct background checks on potential buyers."
