"These people bailed because they want to be politically correct. Yeah, I think that they'll be back," the GOP presidential candidate said in a Fox News interview with Greta Van Susteren.
Trump was referring to two companies - ESPN and NASCAR - that recently said they would move events away from Trump's venues because of controversial comments he made about illegal immigration.
But Trump, echoing a feisty statement he issued earlier in the day, dismissed the developments as insignificant.
"You know what NASCAR was? They were renting a ballroom at Trump National Doral for an evening. And they lost a big deposit," he said. "With ESPN, you know what that was? ... It was a simple golf outing. Which, by the way, they left a big, fat, beautiful deposit on the table. And they have to go to a course that's not even nearly - nearly - as good. That's one of the best courses in the world."
Though NASCAR and ESPN's reversals probably won't significantly impact Trump's business empire, other companies have ended much larger business relationships with the candidate since his June 16 campaign launch, when he accused Mexico of sending "rapists" and drug runners to the US .
Notably, NBC and Univision announced they would not air Trump's upcoming Miss USA beauty pageant. Trump responded by trashing NBC as "weak" and saying he would launch a $500 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against Univision.
Macy's also said it would no longer sell Trump-branded clothing items or his fragrance, Success. Trump is now urging his supporters to boycott the department store.
