Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is in the lead in Virginia, a state that was expected to lean Democratic in this election.

With 73% of precincts reporting, Trump has 48.8% of the vote and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has 46.2%.

Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson has 3% of the vote, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein has taken 0.7%.
