Known as the city of elitists, intellectuals and communists, the City of Joy, has risen from the ashes to become the Party Mecca of the East. This is one of the few cities in India, where you don’t need to worry about guns, moral policing or angry drunkards. Try both Tantra and Roxy at The Park. At Roxy, you can savour some good date wrapped bacon and Spanish piri piri piked prawns.

For a quiet night out, move over to Maaya at the Swissotel If you’ve enjoyed a night of debauchery, and still want some more, your last stop should be The Underground.

From the fashionable haunts of Trilogy at the Sea Princess, Juhu to the South Mumbai pubs like Tote on the Turf, Mumbai is rampant with an appetite for good times. If you are lucky enough, you may brush your shoulders against Bollywood celebrities at Hype.

And if you have a passion for music, don’t miss out on Blue Frog, A bar well known for its live musical performances, excellent acoustics, friendly crowd and overpriced drinks. While most clubs in Mumbai shut by 1:30AM, you can always count on Prive that’s open till quite late.

The Hippie Capital of India has some cool places to hangout on the New Year’s Eve.

Keep switching between Restro Foresto, 60 ML, Cocoa House, Dragon Bar and Terrace, and Ram Villas. Be careful though; most of these places may close by midnight, so have a back up plan like going on a long drive to Nahargarh fort at the crack of dawn.

Gurgaon is well known for its versatility. There’s a place or two to suit all mindsets and pockets. If you are a fan of clubbing, walk in to Peppers, Rockman’s Beer Island or Rhino Bar. For those who like their clubbing experience just a little bit more serene, the places around the Cyber Hub are quite intriguing.

The national capital has a few hubs of nightlife which are scattered mostly over the southern part of the city. Hauz Khas, being the best, followed by Connaught Place and Defence Colony, Delhi’s nightlife is meant for social addiction. The idea here is to flirt, dance and drink year-round, all with as muchmoney as possible Hit Agni, Raasta, Maquina, Summer House Café, Town Hall Café. There are just too many to list here.
