Avalanche Lake is a quiet place near Ooty, approximately 25 kilometers away. It's peaceful and has lots of trees around. You can drive or hike there. You can also have a calm picnic, fish, or just enjoy the nature.

In the Nilgiri Hills, there's a special tribe called the Toda. They have their own culture and homes called Toda Huts, made of bamboo and thatch. You can meet the Toda people, talk to them, and see how they live to learn about their way of life.

On the way to Ooty from Gudalur, you'll find Needle Rock Viewpoint. It gives you stunning wide views of the land. It's called Needle Rock because of a big rock that looks like a sewing needle. It's perfect for taking pictures and for people who love nature.
