These cities are situated in Uttarakhand, are major pilgrimage sites for Hindus, and as such, there are restrictions on the sale and consumption of non-vegetarian food, particularly in and around the temple areas.

Known as the birthplace of Lord Rama, is a sacred city for Hindus, and non-vegetarian food is restricted in certain areas due to its religious significance.

Vrindavan, associated with the life of Lord Krishna, has a predominantly vegetarian culture, and while there might not be a blanket ban on non-vegetarian food, its consumption might be limited or restricted in certain areas due to cultural reasons.

Located in Gujarat, it is a significant Jain pilgrimage centre, and the entire city is declared a vegetarian zone, with a ban on the sale and consumption of meat, including fish and eggs.
