The airline behind the flying apartment has a new strategy for attracting first-class and business customers

Located in Terminal 4 at JFK, the lounge is stylish and modern without being garish.

The facility was opened last December by airline CEO James Hogan.

Here's a reminder of the airline's A380 service between Abu Dhabi and New York.

In addition to Etihad's own passengers, the lounge is also available for premium cabin passengers flying with equity partner Air Serbia.

The lounge was designed by Chicago-based architects Gensler.

The facility is adorned with Etihad's signature geometric design theme with color hues drawn from the landscape of the United Arab Emirates.

Guests are treated to a variety of dishes available in a buffet or a la carte.

The interior is furnished by Boss and affords passengers a variety of seating options.

In addition, passengers are treated to complementary showers, changing rooms, baggage storage, and a library.
