Nissan's newest concept car is fully electric, fast, and futuristic
The BladeGlider is a fully-electric car that can reach a top speed of 118 miles per hour, but there's no word on what kind of range it gets.
It's meant to showcase Nissan's Intelligence Mobility vision — the automakers commitment to building, intelligent, electric cars with autonomous capabilities.
The dihedral doors provide a dramatic entry and exit.
And the black-and-orange seats are designed to provide extra support for the legs and sides.
The BladeGlider can accelerate to 60 miles per hour in less than 5 seconds.
It has a wheel-mounted display that shows speed and the state of the battery. But there are also two screens on the side showing images picked up by a rear camera.
The BladeGlider also offers something called torque vectoring that's meant to make the car easier to handle. For example, if the car starts to understeer, more torque will be applied to the outside wheel to restore balance.
The shape of the car is also meant to make it more aerodynamic as it's narrow in the front and gets wider in the rear.
