Audi's newest sports car is incredibly powerful
The Roadster looks ready to fulfill its duties as the ultimate summer car.
Even with the hard-top Coupe trim it looks fierce and ready.
The new car has 60 more horsepower than its predecessor. The coupe is capable of doing zero to 60 miles per hour in a blisteringly-quick 3.7 seconds. The roadster comes in a 3.9 seconds.
Those quick launch times can surely at least partially be attributed to the TT's Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
The new TT RS comes with seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. Unfortunately, it's not looking like a manual will be offered.
The steering wheel has basically all the controls you'll need, similar to what's used on Audi's R8 supercar.
It has the massive double-pipes that have become a signature look on all RS models.
All the better to hear that happy five-cylinder scream through.
With the TT RS, Audi is also following in its own tradition of trying out new and surprisingly exciting lighting tech. What you see here is Audi's reflector-less "3D Matrix OLED" lighting.
And a fixed rear spoiler on the hatch lid to finish off the aggressive-looking rear end.
