In March, Zomato extended Gold memberships by two months, acknowledging that dining out plans would be affected in COVID-19 pandemic, hoping things would get better quickly. The new announcement covers India, the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Philippines, Indonesia, Turkey and Lebanon. "India and all our other Gold countries are still a few months away from being able to use and enjoy their <keyword id="4299597" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zomato-Gold">Zomato Gold</keyword> benefits. In India though, members continue to avail Gold privileges on food delivery," tweeted Goyal. "We will continue to monitor the situation very closely, and make every effort to ensure customer and staff safety when restaurants open up again and are ready to welcome Gold members," he added. The company has also made its "contactless dining" free for all restaurants across India and other global destinations for a period of at least six months. Restaurants in India, the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Portugal, Philippines, Indonesia, and Lebanon will have to only bear the payment gateway fee and Zomato won't charge any fee from them. "This will inevitably exert significant pressure on our own finances, but I am sure we will survive if the restaurant industry does well. We are all in this together," Goyal said last month. Contactless dining has three main components, contactless menu, contactless ordering and contactless payment. Zomato said it is building additional features on the app -- such as the ability to order multiple courses, and the option to pay for self or the entire table -- to ensure a hassle-free dining experience.

Zomato Gold members get an extension for another four months

New Delhi, March 25 () Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal on Wednesday said the company is actively working with the authorities so that essential services can operate without trouble on account of lockdown in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. He also said the online restaurant guide and food ordering company is also starting a fund to cover up the lost earnings for thousands of its delivery partners and hoped that the government would support them with this. "We are actively working with the authorities to clear the confusion so that essential services can operate without trouble," Goyal said in a tweet. In a series of tweets, Goyal said, "We are also starting a fund to cover up the lost earnings for thousands of our delivery partners. We also hope that we get government support to help us with this." Sharing his concern regarding the restaurants' partners during the lockdown, he tweeted that, "We are also going to facilitate loans for our food delivery restaurant partners -- thousands of restaurants have been severely hit because of their immobilised workforce due to the lockdown." Goyal said hundreds of Zomato employees have taken deep voluntary salary cuts to conserve the cash flows of the company. "We are also donating for our delivery partner fund, as well as 'Feed the Daily Wager' campaign to support the community during these times," Goyal said. He also said all paid Zomato Gold memberships across India, UAE, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Lebanon, Turkey, New Zealand, Portugal and Qatar will get a two-month membership extension at zero cost. GitHub has adopted <keyword id="3169059" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="openai" source="Orion">OpenAI</keyword>'s new GPT-4 model, and introduced chat and voice for Copilot, bringing Copilot to pull requests, the command line, and docs to answer questions on developers' projects. "From reading docs to writing code to submitting pull requests and beyond, we're working to personalise <keyword id="13523259" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="github-copilot" source="Orion">GitHub Copilot</keyword> for every team, project, and repository it's used in, creating a radically improved software development lifecycle," <keyword id="12473215" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="thomas-dohmke" source="Orion">Thomas Dohmke</keyword>, CEO at GitHub, said in a statement. "At the same time, we will continue to innovate and update the heart of GitHub Copilot -- the AI pair programmer that started it all," he added. The company is bringing a chat interface -- "Copilot chat" to the editor, which will be focused on developer scenarios and natively integrate with VS Code and Visual Studio. Copilot chat will recognise what code a developer has typed, and what error messages are shown, and it's deeply embedded into the IDE (Integrated Development Environment). Copilot chat will also join GitHub's voice-to-code AI technology extension the company previously demoed, which it's now calling "Copilot voice", where developers can verbally give natural language prompts, according to the company. Moreover, developers can now sign up for a technical preview of the first AI-generated descriptions for pull requests on GitHub. This new feature comes powered by OpenAI's new GPT-4 model and adds support for AI-powered tags in pull request descriptions via a GitHub app that can be installed by organisation admins and individual repository owners. GitHub is also launching Copilot for docs, an experimental tool that uses a chat interface to provide users with AI-generated responses to questions about documentation -- including questions developers have about the languages, frameworks, and technologies they are using, the company said. With a marketcap of ₹56,108 crore, it also entered the top 100 companies club on its debut day. It ranks at 84 in terms of largest listed companies in India, leaving behind the likes of Punjab National Bank, Hero MotoCorp, UPL, Indian Hotels and Zomato. Retail investors’ bonanza All the retail investors who had invested in the IPO have been allotted the shares, helping them gain from the stock run up. Only 92% of the portion of shares reserved for retail investors were subscribed, hence every investor who applied were allotted stocks. Overall, the ₹4,326 crore IPO generated good demand from investors, with the issue being subscribed 15.32 times, thanks to the qualified institutional buyers who subscribed the most at 49.16 times. Analysts say that the dazzling listing gains by Mankind Pharma has brought back life into the primary market. “Fast growing India-centric Mankind Pharma truly deserves credit for bringing back life into the primary market during CY 2023 with a stellar listing which provided a 30% return to retail investors. The icing on the cake was the allotment itself wherein almost all retail investors were allotted the shares,” said S Ranganathan, head of research at LKP Securities. The primary market saw an IPO hitting after a long gap, thus the interest was high. Moreover the healthcare sector was a laggard over the last one year but started seeing traction over the last two months as the monthly pharma data showed improvement. Given its healthy financial track record, domestic focus and extensive network, Mankind is likely to continue doing well,” Hemang Jani, Head of Equity Strategy, Motilal Oswal Financial Services. Macquarie Research has initiated coverage on the company with an ‘Outperform’ rating and a target price of ₹1,400. “We believe the company’s net profit could double (&gt;2x) in the next three years, driven by: a) continued sales outperformance relative to Indian pharma market (IPM), b) mix shift towards chronic therapies, and c) unlocking of meaningful operating leverage as salesforce productivity improves,” said the brokerage firm. The brokerage believes that Mankind Pharma is at a discounted valuation than its peers — Abbott India, GSK India and Pfizer India. Mankind Pharma has 50 brands under it, which are cheaper than its peers in respective categories, and 39 brands out of them have outperformed their respective category growth. These include products like Mankind Unwanted Kit, Prega News, Gas-O-Fast and so on. The company entered into the consumer healthcare business in 2007 and has established brands in condoms, pregnancy detection, emergency contraceptives, antacid, vitamin and mineral supplement and anti-acne preparations categories. Some of its key brands such as Manforce, Prega News and Unwanted-72 are market leaders in their respective categories.
