<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>On May 20, the Air Force is set to launch into its mysterious orbital space drone for another mission. </p><p>Leaving from Cape Canaveral, the X-37B space plane will be launched into low orbit aboard an Atlas V rocket for an unspecified amount of time, <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/news/air-force-set-to-launch-its-x-37b-space-plane/">according to CBS News</a>. While in space, the X-37B will carry out two publicly announced missions - one for the Air Force and one for NASA. </p><p>Bloomberg Business <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2015-05-13/what-we-know-about-the-air-force-s-secret-space-drone">reports</a> that the drone will test a "new super-efficient propulsion system" for the Air Force known as a Hall thruster. The X-37B will also carry samples of various materials for NASA in order to study how well they respond to low-earth orbit conditions.</p><p>The Hall thruster is an electronic propulsion device which creates thrust by ionizing the noble gas Xenon.</p><p>A press release from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base <a href="http://www.wpafb.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123446260">notes</a> that this type of thruster generates less power than a typical rocket. But it the Hall is significantly smaller, lighter, and has much better fuel economy than a conventional rocket engine. This hypothetically allows the X-37B to carry out more advanced maneuvers in space compared to other orbital vehicles.</p><p>The stated goal of testing the thruster aboard the X-37B is to troubleshoot the design and note any modifications that might need to be made before the ion thruster is placed on the military's Advanced Extremely High Frequency communications satellite system. </p><p>The upcoming launch for the X-37B will be the space craft's <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/secret-robot-space-plane-returns-to-earth-2014-10">fourth journey into space</a>. On October 17, 2014 the plane returned from a nearly two-year orbit around the earth. The Air Force is preparing to send its mysterious space drone on yet another mission

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container float_right"><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div>It doesn't get any more high-end than the <a href="https://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-resorts/dubai/burj-al-arab/">Burj Al Arab</a>&#xa0;hotel in Dubai.<p>The Burj even describes itself as the "<a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/burj-al-arab-hotel-in-dubai-2013-5">world's most luxurious hotel.</a>"</p><p>So it's no wonder that the hotel is also home to a seafood restaurant - <a href="https://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-resorts/dubai/burj-al-arab/restaurant-at-burj-al-arab/al-mahara/">Al Mahara</a>&#xa0;- complete with a floor-to-ceiling aquarium where diners can enjoy delicious food while watching colorful fish swim among luscious plants in bright blue water.</p><p>I had the chance to eat at Al Mahara on a visit to Dubai years ago and I still consider the lobster I ate there to be the best I've ever had.</p><p>It's one of the best fine dining restaurants in the world, but a meal there isn't cheap<span>. According to&#xa0;</span><a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g295424-d778448-Reviews-or30-Al_Mahara-Dubai_Emirate_of_Dubai.html#REVIEWS">TripAdvisor reviews</a><span>&#xa0;for the restaurant, a dinner for two with a bottle of wine costs around $600.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">For some context, here's the hotel itself in all its sail-shaped glory. The movie chronicles Moore's quest to get his alter ego stage presence onto the big screen with the 1975 movie, "Dolemite," which became a blaxploitation classic.</p><p>Business Insider chatted with Key about the responsibility he felt playing a real-life person, which scene was his favorite to shoot, and how advice from his wife (producer Elisa Key) helped him work with Eddie Murphy.</p><p><em>This interview has been edited for length and clarity. </em></p><p><strong>Jason Guerrasio:</strong> First, we have to address the year you've had so far: "Toy Story 4," "The Lion King," now "Dolemite Is My Name."</p><p><strong>Keegan-Michael Key:</strong> Yeah, it's coming up roses this year.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> Are you a reflective person? Do you allow yourself a moment to think back on your successes?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> I try to be like that. I attempt to be like that. But I don't often get to do it. I have really not stopped to smell the roses this year yet. Those releases have happened and I've been doing press for them while working on other TV shows and movies, so it has been a real hectic year. Which I guess I should count as a blessing.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> No. Keep it going. But in regards to "Dolemite," it sounds like in your youth you would pop in the VHS and watch it with friends. What grabbed you about the movie back then?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> The audacity of it. I didn't know what was happening. I was 19 or 20 when I first saw "Dolemite" and at that time in movies it was the early 1990s. People were spending a lot of money on production design. So even the bad movies, the lighting was great and there were A-list actors, but maybe there was really bad writing. Or you would have an A-list actor who wasn't terribly good but made money at the box office.</p><p>But then you see something as bare bones as "Dolemite." It's one thing to make an independent film, it's another thing to make "Dolemite." We did not know what we were witnessing. It was the first example in my life of good bad. You know what good bad is?</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> Oh, you are talking to a "Mystery Science Theater 3000" fan, so yes.&#xa0;<p><strong>Key:</strong> Bingo. So that was my first time of dipping my toe into what good bad was. And that's not just good bad, it's good bad, sublime. And the reason is because everything Rudy Ray Moore did he did in earnest. And I think there's a charm to that. He was flying blind making that movie. So for him to have finished it, gotten the post production done, and released it is a miracle. I had never seen anything like that.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> After I saw "Dolemite Is My Name," it so happened that "Dolemite" was available on Amazon Prime. So I watched it and there's a whole new appreciation for it after seeing you guys tell the backstory.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> I feel people who have seen "Dolemite" in the past will now be able to have the experience that I had when I showed it to my wife, which was you hit play and then you spend the whole movie looking at the other person. [<em>Laughs</em>.] How are they going to react to this?</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> How did they come to you to play Jerry Jones?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> I had a meeting with ["Dolemite Is My Name" director] Craig Brewer and originally I asked if there was any chance I could play Jimmy Lynch [played by Mike Epps]. But he really wanted me to play Jerry. He did what everyone should do, and that's to speak to an actor's ego. [<em>Laughs</em>.] He was like, "You're very educated and I thought because you were so damn smart this is your role." And I was like, "I'm yours." But it was a blessing because he's one of the few characters you can have some source material on. He is in "The Long Goodbye," he was in "Mission: Impossible" and "The Brady Bunch" episodes, and the "Dolemite" sequels.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> Is this the first time you have ever played a real-life person?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> This is the first time on camera. It was a thrill. I have played biographical people on stage. &#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> Is there pressure in taking that on? Did you want to talk to his family?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> I got to meet Jerry Jones' daughter and son-in-law and grandsons and they very much enjoyed the film. That just gave me a big sigh of relief that I had the opportunity to showcase their father in a positive light.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> And the way you play the role, you are the straight man to Eddie's outlandish Rudy Ray Moore. Did you two discuss how that would work?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> It was more of it working on the page. A lot of it was showing up on set and letting the dynamic that both of us had independently created play out. That was a lot of fun because you get to act across one of the great masters of comedy. By the third scene I did with Eddie, I thought, "Why don't I play against his energy?" Against Rudy's excitement. I just wanted to have Jerry be grounded and have him be as much the opposite of Rudy. It was a tip my wife gave me, actually. I was working on it with her and she said, "I know you love Eddie, but don't get swept up in his energy. Play opposite that."</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> I'm sure you were a pro on set, but there had to have been a freak-out moment that you were working across from Eddie Murphy.<p><strong>Key:</strong> Absolutely. There were two acting jobs happening simultaneously. One is acting in the film, the other is acting like it's no big deal. [<em>Laughs</em>.] But Eddie would get down to work and that makes you focus. You're like, "Oh, right, we're here to work." So the gushing element starts to dissipate. It was amazing to work with him because every time he's just trying to make it better and better. And I was like, I'm going to start doing that. And when he improvises it's not as often as you think.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> Oh, interesting.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> When he does it, he's doing it for a purpose. I've been on plenty of projects where you can screw around with the material if you want. But this was not like that. It was a clinic in getting the comedy on camera but also being very mindful of what you were doing.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> What was your favorite scene to shoot?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> The one where Eddie and I are together talking about the script and he's talking about kung-fu and I ask, "You know karate?" And he says no. And I'll admit that's the scene I worked on the hardest. To be in that room and really breathe into life what Jerry was trying to accomplish. [<em>In Jerry Jones voice</em>] "We are going to write this script, and it's going to be great, man. We're going to do the best thing to get the word out to the community." And here's this other individual with him who is just vomiting out ideas that don't make any sense. Rudy is thinking about nothing but entertainment and Jerry is the complete opposite. And it was just me and Eddie. That was my favorite scene, by far.</p><p><strong>Guerrasio:</strong> So going back to this great year you've had: Does that change the mindset of your career goals? Does the game plan of what you are forging become more ambitious?</p><p><strong>Key:</strong> They have changed in regards to momentum, but there are definite goals that our team have that we are trying to meet. So there is nothing different there. I just feel like we knew which direction we were going, now it just feels like there has been a little more greasing of the rails. Keegan-Michael Key explains what it was like to act opposite Eddie Murphy in 'Dolemite Is My Name,' and how advice from his wife helped him nail the performance

This phone has hit the Indian shores precisely at a time when a lot of changes are happening at Nokia and some significant revival plans are taking place. Also, Nokia has recently lost the top position to <keyword id="10591" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Samsung">Samsung</keyword> Mobiles in India. So can this <keyword id="28168" type="TECHNOLOGY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Smartphone">smartphone</keyword> bring the lost glory back, we wonder. <b>Nokia Reveals New Lumia 1020 In India</b>

	<span>Leading <keyword id="6356028" type="COMPANY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Sports">sports</keyword> car manufacturer <keyword id="45673" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Porsche">Porsche</keyword>, a part of the <keyword id="166267" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Volkswagen-Group">Volkswagen group</keyword>, has launched its much-awaited compact SUV </span><keyword id="2100791" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Macan">Macan</keyword><span> in India. The car has been launched in two different variants. </span>Macan<span> S Diesel is available at a price of </span>Rs<span> 1 </span>crore<span> and </span>Macan<span> Turbo petrol will retail at </span>Rs<span> 1.11 </span>crore<span>, both ex-showroom Delhi.</span><br />
	 

	Macan has turned out to be a very popular SUV. The car is fully sold out globally and in India, the compact SUV has been fully booked for 2014.
<br /><br /> Despite being a compact SUV, like any of its <keyword id="660753" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="Sports-cars">sports cars</keyword>, the Macan Turbo can hit from 0 to 100 in about 4.8 seconds and the <keyword id="2436163" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Macan-S-Diesel">Macan S Diesel</keyword> in 6.1 seconds. Porsche has offered air suspension system with ride height adjustment, fully variable all-wheel drive, lighting package, bi-xenon headlamps, three-zone climate control and electronically operated tailgate as standard features. <br /><br /> <keyword id="349012" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Anil-Reddi">Anil Reddi</keyword>, director, Porsche India said, the Macan compact SUV, will help the German automobile manufacturer reach out to new customer segments in India. It will lure buyers of other luxury car brands into the Porsche fold. <br /><br />

	"With the launch of the Macan, we intend to expand this further, but we don't want lose out on the exclusivity that Porsche guarantees. We are not in the pursuit of volumes and as a policy, we will always sell one car less than what the market demands," he asserted.
<br /><br /> In India, Porsche has been present for over a decade - first as an importer and later through the <keyword id="1968081" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="National-Sales-Company">National Sales Company</keyword>. About 1,500 to 2,000 Porsche are running on the Indian roads. Interestingly, <keyword id="624" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="Women">women</keyword> are emerging as a new customer segment for Macan. <br /><br />

	Porsche is also revamping its dealer network in the country which will be spread across at 8 different cities by the end of 2014. Porsche has showroom spread across Mumbai, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and the one in Kolkata, will be shortly inaugurated.

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right click-to-enlarge"><div><div class="image"><a title_source="Toyota" title_caption="Toyota Prius V." class="zoomin" href="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/56fbfaa39105841d008b9aa6-960/2016_toyota_prius_v_004_b17dcbfcb0a1b335285797ffe7ad1a3a4bc6096d.jpg"><span class="sprites click-to-enlarge-icon" title="Click to enlarge"></span></a><p class="source"><span>Toyota</span></p><p class="caption">Toyota Prius V.</p></div><p></p></div></div>Most people buying cars don't think about the quality of the headlights.<p>But according to a new study, they should.&#xa0;</p><p>The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety released its new study on auto headlights, and the results are disturbing.</p><p>The <a href="http://www.iihs.org/iihs/sr/statusreport/article/51/3/1" target="_blank">study featured 82 different headlight set ups on 31 different midsize cars </a>sold in the US.&#xa0;Only the <a href="http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/vehicle/v/toyota/prius-v-4-door-wagon" target="_blank">2016 Toyota Prius V with the Advanced Technology package</a>'s LED projector headlights received the institute's highest rating - Good.</p><p>And only one of the Prius V's three available headlight systems earned the Good rating - the other two scored "Acceptable," the second-highest rating, and "Poor," the institute's lowest rating.</p><p>In fact, 10 of the 31 cars tested can only be purchased with a lighting systems that rated "Poor."</p><p>IIHS conducted a battery of tests to to measure how far, how bright, and how much glare each lighting system projects by using a series of sensors on a test track to simulate real-world situations.</p><p>One of the key points the IIHS wanted to determine for each system is how far out they can provide enough illumination for the human eye to still be able to detect obstacles.</p><p>With headlights generally considered to be one of the most important and fundamental safety features, &#xa0;it's surprising that so many of the world's leading manufacturers performed so poorly.</p><p>"Headlights have never been evaluated like this before," IIHS senior research engineer Matthew Brumbelow told Business Insider. "Hopefully this drives car makers to design lighting systems that's more focused on safety."</p><p>Overall, the IIHS found that the more expensive LED and High Intensity Discharge lighting systems performed better than the more commonplace halogen lights.</p><p>The IIHS singled one particular car for its underwhelming performance - the BMW 3-Series.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table click-to-enlarge"><div><div class="image"><a title_source="BMW" title_caption="BMW 3-Series." class="zoomin" href="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/56fc0cf091058436008b9acc-960/p90180601_highres_the-new-bmw-3-series.jpg"><span class="sprites click-to-enlarge-icon" title="Click to enlarge"></span></a><p class="source"><span>BMW</span></p><p class="caption">BMW 3-Series.</p></div><p></p></div></div>The institute found the halogen equipped <a href="http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/vehicle/v/bmw/3-series-4-door-sedan" target="_blank">BMW 3-Series </a>to be the worst-performing set up in the study. While the LED lights on the Premium Package equipped 3-Series returned the second worst performance in the test, Brumbelow told us.&#xa0;<p>BMW offered a statement in regards to the performance of the 3-Series - one of the most popular compact luxury sedans in the world.&#xa0;</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>The BMW Group has been an industry leader for headlight technology innovation for more than four decades. BMW was the first to introduce ellipsoid projector headlights, electronic adaptive headlight technology, xenon headlights and most recently BMW Laserlights. BMW has also pioneered Night Vision systems that can detect animals and pedestrians far beyond the range of the best headlight systems. Headlights are traditionally tested in a laboratory setting outside of the car with no measure for aim and the placement of the light on the car. As a result, there is little correlation between lab results and actual real world performance.<p>Second, Brumbelow believes that many car makers have sacrificed styling and aesthetics of its headlights over its ability to provide adequate illumination.</p><p>Third, differences in regulatory requirements negatively affected the performance of many European manufacturers. "European regulations are much more strict regarding glare from on-coming vehicles," Brumbelow said. " And we've already seen companies look begin work on making changes."</p><p>The IIHS - an independent non-profit supported by auto insurers to help reduce the amount deaths, injuries and damage in road accidents - has helped move the industry into action before. Two decades ago, the institute's overlap crash test help revolutionize crash safety in the US. <br /> Despite the fact that Indian economy has grown at less than 5% in the last two years, the Indian <keyword id="91044" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Luxury-car">luxury car</keyword> makers seem buoyant about it. With increasing disposable incomes in the upper middle class, there seems a plethora of opportunities of growth for this sector.<br />

The Indian luxury car market had sales of more than 32,000 units in the calendar year 2013 and is expected to cross the 50,000 mark in 2014. Not just this, the industry is touted to see the launch of at least 25-30 new models, unheard of for the Indian market just five years ago.<br />

So, what’s the secret behind people lapping up luxury cars despite not such good times for the industry? One of the major factors has been the rise of the entry-level luxury car market. And this is where the new entrant from the Audi stable, the A3 sedan, aims to add yet another chapter. Expected to be priced at approximately Rs 26-28 lakh (ex-showroom), A3 is all set to add some extra fizz to the Indian luxury car market.<br />
<br />
<strong>Expanding the entry segment: creating sub segment</strong><br /> The <keyword id="962780" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Audi-A3">Audi A3</keyword> is going to be a part of the fastest growing category within the luxury car market, the entry-level segment, which has grown fast because of rising number of managers, in the age group of 30-40, reaching mid-level management positions in MNCs along with numerous successful tech and consultancy start-ups in the last few years. Most of these young managers and entrepreneurs hail from top Indian B-schools as well as Indians returning after completing degrees from top colleges in US and UK. They have high aspirations and love to make a statement about their success and what best way to do that than owning a luxury car. The affordability of the models in this segment makes it easy for these people to flaunt the luxury at a young age.<br />
<br /> The launch of Audi A3 in August 2014 is going to further push the growth of this segment even more. Audi A3 is unique in many ways when it comes to the entry level luxury car market. First of all, it is a sedan while most of the entry level models launched by other car makers are hatchbacks. Like the <keyword id="6381274" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Mercedes-Benz">Mercedes Benz</keyword> A and B class or the BMW’s 1 Series, the entry level luxury market is replete with hatchbacks. And they are all priced in the Rs 20-30 lakh range. This is where the A3 aims to be the first mover in creating a sub segment within the entry-level bracket. And this is the entry-level luxury sedan.<br />

<strong>Upping the ante with features of high-end models</strong><br />
While most of car makers are going for trading down wherein they are offering stripped down versions of the high-end luxury models at attractive prices. Audi A3 may up the ante here with offering many of the high end features. The aim is simple. Adapt some of the features of the higher end A4 or the A6 model into the A3. You have the large hexagonal grille, sharp bonnet lies and the bi-xenon headlamps are similar to both the A4 and the A6 while the windshield looks a smaller version of the A6 and the dashboard akin to the Audi TT. Apart from this, you get the expected seven speed S-tronic dual clutch transmission, seven multimedia screens, and all this included in both the petrol and diesel versions at Rs 26-28 lakh. <br />

The only other model to directly clash with the A3 this year is the Mercedes CLA sedan. Both are expected to garner equal market shares and sell about 2500 units this year. However there is one thing that works for the A3 which is its global blockbuster appeal. It has won numerous awards beating many other models in its category. Thus, it has developed its global appeal for first-time buyers in many emerging markets and that’s where the thousands of first time buyers in the mid-level management category in the age group of 30-40 in India comes into play.<br />
<br />
<strong>Primed to take on the competition</strong><br />
Compared to competition, while Audi has been the late mover in the entry segment, its sleek and streamlined adaptation of some of higher end luxury sedans to give the taste of the super premium car to the emerging rich is being touted to be its USP. Another factor in favour of the car is its fast-paced production in its Aurangabad plant, whereby it is being built on the hatchback platform only. Thus, it is easy to bring the car to its customers without any waiting time, even if the demand suddenly surges.<br />
<br />
In essence, as the economy improves and mid-level managers’ pay packets go north again, this segment could see a boom that will match what China, the largest luxury car market among developing countries, has seen since the mid 90s. Audi seems to be readying itself to cash on that tide by expanding its portfolio.  <br />
