San Francisco/New Delhi, Taking India's example of banning more than 200 Chinese <keyword id="6354741" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Apps">apps</keyword>, US President <keyword id="6354484" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Donald-Trump">Donald Trump</keyword> has signed a new executive order that blocks transactions with Chinese companies running eight apps, including Jack Ma-owned Ant Group's Alipay, Tencent's QQ and <keyword id="1160904" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="WeChat">WeChat</keyword> Pay <keyword id="6371395" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="applications">applications</keyword>. Transactions will be prohibited in 45 days, said the order. Other apps include CamScanner, QQ Wallet, SHAREit, Tencent QQ, VMate, WeChat Pay, and <keyword id="2763436" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="wps-office">WPS Office</keyword> -- which are already banned in India. "The Government of India has banned the use of more than 200 Chinese connected software applications throughout the country; in a statement, India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology asserted that the applications were stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users' data in an unauthorised manner to servers which have locations outside India," <keyword id="6354862" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="trump">Trump</keyword> wrote in his new executive order. The new executive order follows two earlier ones from Trump in August last year where he tried to ban transactions with <keyword id="3749909" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bytedance">ByteDance</keyword>, TikTok's parent company, and WeChat. However, a judge blocked the WeChat ban in September and in October, a judge granted a preliminary injunction stopping the TikTok ban in December. "The pace and pervasiveness of the spread in the United States of certain connected mobile and desktop applications and other software developed or controlled by persons in the People's Republic of China, to include Hong Kong and Macau (China), continue to threaten the <keyword id="113687" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="national-security">national security</keyword>, foreign policy, and economy of the United States," the executive order further read. "The US must take aggressive action against those who develop or control Chinese connected software applications to protect our national security." The Trump order said that "the continuing activity of the PRC and the CCP to steal or otherwise obtain United States persons' data makes clear that there is an intent to use bulk data collection to advance China's economic and national security agenda". On June 29 last year, the government banned 59 Chinese apps in the first lot, including TikTok, WeChat, UC Browser and Xiaomi's Mi Community, over national security concerns amid the border tussle in Eastern Ladakh which led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers in a bloody clash with Chinese PLA troops in the Galwan Valley in June 2020. Other Chinese apps in the banned list were Club Factory, SHAREit, Likee, Mi Video Call (Xiaomi), Weibo, Baidu, BIGO LIVE and more. In July, the government barred 47 Chinese apps from operating in the country, which were largely clones of the 59 apps that were banned in June. The Indian government on September 2 banned 118 apps on national security concerns, including the immensely popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, Baidu and couple of virtual private networks that allowed access to TikTok that was banned earlier. Continuing with its ban orders on Chinese apps, the Indian government in November blocked 43 new mobile apps, including shopping website AliExpress owned by e-commerce behemoth Alibaba. Xiaomi has announced the launch of Redmi 3s in the sub-Rs 9,000 price segment. 
 
The 8.5mm slim phone comes packed with a 5-inch HD IPS display (1280 x 720 pixels) and can be said to be one of the cheapest smartphones that come with a fingerprint scanner. Offering a full metal unibody design, the phone weighs 144 grams. 
 
It is also the first smartphone that has Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor to be made available in India. Other than this, the phone comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and a massive 4,100mAh battery. Apps that come preloaded on this phone are Amazon, Kindle, Flipkart, Facebook, WPS Office and Swiftkey. 
 
Talking of software specifications, the phone run MiUI 7.3 based on Android 6.0. 
 
The 13MP rear camera comes with f2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and can do full HD video recording. The front camera, on the other hand, is a 5MP wide-angle unit with f2.2 aperture, also capable of full HD video recording. 
 
The Redmi 3s Prime version has also been launched, which comes with 3G RAM and 32GB storage, with rest of the specification and features being same as Redmi 3s. 
 
While Redmi 3s Prime will go on sale on mi.com and Flipkart from 9th August 2016 for Rs 8,999, the Redmi 3s will be available for Rs 6,999 from a week afterwards, i.e. 16th August 2016.

The Fire HDX has a quad-core processor with a graphics engine that's 70% speedier than the one in the last device. The Fire HDX 8.9 is also equipped to support super-fast Wi-Fi, and is the first tablet with Dolby Atmos, which means that when you listen to headphones, the sound will seem like it's coming from different directions.
Even with the fast processor, the tablet's battery can support up to 12 hours of reading, watching videos, and listening to music, Amazon says. A new feature called Smart Suspend also helps the tablet save battery: It will turn your wireless connection on and off when it's not in use, so you'll still get notifications but won't drain the device. 
Amazon also boasts that the new device is 20% lighter than the iPad Air and that its display has 30% more pixels than the iPad's Retina display, making it super-crisp with beautiful colors. The screen also has something that Amazon calls "Dynamic Light Control," which means that it changes the white part of the display based on the light surrounding it to mimic as well as possible what an actual page of a book would look like. This makes it easier on your eyes because it's more like reading a normal printed book.

The Fire HDX tablet is running an updated version of Amazon's operating-system, a forked version of Android KitKat that the company is calling Fire OS 4 "Sangria." Like <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-fire-phone-review-2014-7" target="_blank">Amazon's new Fire smartphone</a>, this tablet will support Firefly, a feature which lets users scan objects like books, movies, posters, QR codes, and household goods to give you more information about them or make a purchase on Amazon.com. Firefly also comes with a new translation feature: You can take a picture of something in a different language, and the tablet will spit out the English translation. 
One of the great features from Sangria is called Family Library. It lets family members easily share content like books, movies, and games, even if they use different Amazon accounts. This feature could come in handy, for example, if you and your partner wanted to read an e-book at the same time, but only wanted to buy one copy.
Amazon is definitely marketing this device to families, so you can also create up to six profiles on each tablet - two "adults" and four "kids."
Like the last Kindle HDX tablets, this new version has front and rear facing cameras, but it also come with free, unlimited cloud storage, so you don't have to worry about running out of space if you're a photo-fanatic. 
Finally, Amazon built a new, super-light keyboard for people who think they'll be using their tablet for work. It comes with the most popular Android Office app, WPS Office:
