During the same period of the last fiscal, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 355.40 crore. Its total income during the period under review was Rs 2,935.72 crore, higher by 15.45 per cent from Rs 2,542.84 crore earned during the first quarter of FY21. In a statement, the company said that the results are a validation of strong fundamentals of Adani Transmission Ltd and reiterates reliability, responsiveness and sustainability of Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd thus creating value for ATL. Adani Transmission's net profit grows 22% in the June quarter, revenue up more than 15%

The Results Compendium provides a comprehensive overview of the <keyword id="20088085" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="financial-performance" source="keywords">financial performance</keyword> of the Adani Portfolio, while the Credit Compendium offers in-depth insights into the portfolio's robust credit strength. According to the results, the strong performance for the quarter was led by <keyword id="20113873" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Adani-Enterprises" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Adani Enterprises" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Adani Enterprises">Adani Enterprises</keyword>' emerging businesses, including solar and wind manufacturing. In a press release, the company stated that it has emerged as India's largest player in the fully integrated <keyword id="19990484" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="green-hydrogen" source="keywords">green hydrogen</keyword> chain, as well as in the airports and roads sectors. The company added that AEL's infrastructure businesses' steadily rising contribution is playing a significant role in this growth, with <keyword id="19957744" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="EBITDA" source="keywords">EBITDA</keyword> expanding by 69.98 per cent YoY. These fast-growing businesses now contribute 13.3 per cent to the portfolio-level EBITDA, up from 7.2 per cent a year ago. The overall EBITDA of Adani Group companies surged by 32.87 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to reach Rs 22,570 crore, resulting in a trailing twelve-month (TTM) EBITDA of Rs 79,180 crore, marking a 45.13 per cent increase over the corresponding TTM of the previous year. The Adani Group highlighted that its 'Core Infrastructure' platform comprises AEL's (Adani Enterprises) Infrastructure businesses, Utility (Adani Green Energy, Adani Power, Adani Energy Solutions, and Adani Total Gas), and Transport (Adani Ports &amp; SEZ) businesses. The Solar module manufacturing business of the group saw module sales rise by 125 per cent YoY in the quarter. Furthermore, the operationalization of photovoltaic cell lines lowered costs, resulting in higher profitability. The airport business also continues to see strong growth from rising passenger movement, increasing consumer offerings, and the addition of routes, airlines, and flights across seven operational airports. Adani Enterprises' performance indicates that in airports, the annual passenger movement across 7 airports crossed 90 million for the first time. During the quarter, eight new routes, six new airlines, and 13 new flights were added across all seven airports. Additionally, 25 new brands were introduced at Lucknow airport after the inauguration of Terminal 3. The road business achieved its highest-ever 730 lane-km construction during this quarter. In the Adani Green Energy segment, construction work for a 500 MW hydro pump storage has commenced, with a 31 per cent YoY capacity addition during the quarter. Another 250 MW wind capacity was operationalized in July at Khavda, bringing the total capacity to 11.2 GW. Adani Energy Solutions stated that the Khavda-Bhuj Transmission Line (KBTL) is fully commissioned, enabling 3 GW green power evacuation from Khavda. The 1,765 ckm Warora Kurnool Transmission Line (WKTL) was also fully commissioned, strengthening the national grid by ensuring seamless power flow between the western and southern regions. Adani Ports &amp; SEZ reported that Vizhinjam port, India's first transhipment port equipped with South Asia's most advanced container-handling technology, was formally commissioned in July and will become operational in November. In the Cements segment, the promoters infused Rs 15,000 crore in two tranches in Ambuja Cements in March and April, fully subscribing to the warrant program and infusing a total of Rs 20,000 crore since the acquisition in September 2022. EBITDA of Adani Group companies surged by 32.87% year-on-year to ₹22,570 crore

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], November 6 (ANI): AdEnergy Solutions Limited (AESL), a significant player in the energy sector, announced its consolidated financial results for the second quarter (Q2) and the first half (1H) of the fiscal year 2024. The company showcased remarkable growth with a focus on the transmission and distribution of energy as well as smart metering services. In Q2 FY24, AESL reported substantial financial and operational performance, affirming its position as the largest private transmission and distribution company in India. Q2 FY24 (Year-on-Year) Consolidated revenue increased by 13 percent to reach Rs 3,421 crore, consolidated operational EBITDA grew by 10 per cent to reach Rs 1,368 crore, Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose by 48 percent to Rs 370 crore. PAT saw an impressive 46 per cent growth, reaching Rs 284 crore, consolidated cash profit for the quarter stood at Rs 757 crore. AESL-commissioned Warora Kurnool (WKTL) and Karur (KTL) transmission lines achieved robust transmission system availability at 99.68 per cent added 219 circuit kilometres (ckms) to the operational network, bringing the total network to 19,862 km. Energy demand (units sold) increased by 9.56 per cent YoY to 2,446 million units, maintaining supply reliability at 99.9 per cent (Average Service Availability Index), distribution losses improved from 6.0 per cent to 5.81 per cent, e-payment as a percentage of total collection increased to 79.2 per cent in Q2 FY24, driven by digital adoption. Received the Letter of Award (LOA) for four smart metering projects in Maharashtra, AP, and Bihar, totaling 14.76 million smart meters with a contract value of Rs 174 billion. The total smart metering under-construction pipeline stood at 19.4 million smart meters, consisting of eight projects with a contract value of Rs 232 billion. These strong results reflect AESL's continued focus on growth, innovation, and expanding its services in India's energy sector. The company's strong order pipeline of Rs 150 billion in the transmission business and Rs 230 billion in the smart metering business reinforces its robust and resilient business model. Adani Energy Solutions Ltd reports impressive growth in Q2 FY24

<keyword id="2688212" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Adani-Transmission-Ltd">Adani Transmission Ltd</keyword> on Saturday said it has entered into a pact with <keyword id="987578" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Essel-Infraprojects">Essel Infraprojects</keyword> to acquire Warora-Kurnool Transmission Ltd (WKTL) for an <keyword id="174605" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="enterprise-value">enterprise value</keyword> of ₹3,370 crore. The acquisition is in sync with <keyword id="76451" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Adani">Adani</keyword> Transmission's strategy to enhance the value for its stakeholders, through organic as well as inorganic opportunities, ATL said in a statement. ATL, India's <keyword id="11007517" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="largest-private-sector-power-transmission">largest private sector power transmission</keyword> and retail distribution company, has signed definitive agreements with Essel Infraprojects Limited (EIL) for the acquisition, it said. The regulatory approval for substitution of original awardee in the contract by ATL has already been received from the <keyword id="103658" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Electricity-Regulatory-Commission">Central Electricity Regulatory Commission</keyword>. The lenders consent and other necessary regulatory approvals shall be obtained before closure of transaction, the company said. With this acquisition, which is valued at an enterprise value of ₹3,370 crore, the cumulative network of ATL will reach 17,200 ckt km (circuit kilometres), out of which 12,350 ckt km is already operational and 4,850 ckt km (including this asset) is in various stages of execution. With this enhanced scale of operations, ATL will enjoy substantial benefits in terms of cost optimisation and shared resources and will also fortify its position of being the largest private sector transmission company in the country, the statement said. Anil Sardana, MD and CEO, Adani Transmission Ltd, said, "The acquisition of WKTL will bolster ATL's pan-India presence, consolidating further its position as the largest private sector transmission company in India. This strategic West to South 765 KV interconnector with Substation in Southern India, completes ATL presence in all regions of the country." This asset will not only increase ATL's size and scale but will also take ATL closer to its target of setting up 20,000 ckt km of transmission lines by 2022, he said. "The acquisition is a further demonstration of ATL's drive towards differentiated capability through inorganic growth, successful integration &amp; making such assets value accretive, for long term sustainable value creation for its stakeholders," Sardana said. Warora-Kurnool Transmission Ltd will develop, operate and maintain transmission lines aggregating to 1,750 ckt km. The 765 kV inter-state transmission line links Warora-<keyword id="6357155" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="warangal">Warangal</keyword> and Chilakaluripeta-Hyderabad-Kurnool with a 765/400 kV new sub-station at Warangal. The project was awarded through competitive bidding process on a build, own, operate, maintain basis. Adani Transmission to acquire Warora-Kurnool Transmission for over ₹3,370 crore

The recent <keyword id="406897" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="farmer-protests">farmer protests</keyword> in <keyword id="13126" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maharashtra">Maharashtra</keyword>, in which around 40,000 farmers and tribals staged a peaceful 180 km march from Nashik to <keyword id="6358070" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mumbai">Mumbai</keyword>, has been lauded for its execution by politicians and media outlets alike, with The Hindu even calling it a <a href="http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/editorial/a-model-protest/article23229917.ece">“model protest”</a> and the chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, saying that he was “deeply humbled” before agreeing to their demands. What really made the farmers protests stand out and ultimately successful, was its amazing public relations machine. The farmers earned the sympathy of not only the citizens of Mumbai but the rest of India, as they marched at night to avoid disruptions to urban commuters and students sitting for their board exams. There were no overt theatrics or violence, unlike the farmer protests around Maharashtra between June last year which resulted in the announcement of the 34,000 crore <keyword id="56684" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="loan-waiver">loan waiver</keyword> scheme. The organisation sponsoring the march, All-India Kisan Sabha, an ally of the Communist Party of India, left no stone unturned when it came to social media.  The march benefited from widespread media coverage. On March 12th, the Indian Express ran a <a href="http://epaper.indianexpress.com/1575825/Delhi/March-12,-2018#page/1/2">front page report</a> on the march and included interviews with 10 participating farmers on the problems they were facing. Scroll conducted <a href="https://www.facebook.com/scroll.in/videos/1718003171615889/?hc_ref=ARS9e9XHfRx2R7ilvXgedCUq-Zqf43UQC40hbD4YM2G547c0iDuf5AHHY0kBTg8_68E&amp;pnref=story.unseen-section">Facebook Live conversations</a> with farmers and Mid-Day ran a front-page headline that read, “Mumbaikars Welcome Farmers With Open Arms”. In a <a href="https://thewire.in/rights/i-walked-40km-with-the-farmers-in-maharashtra-heres-what-i-learnt">piece for the Wire,</a> Ayush Dubey, a young journalist, wrote of his experience as a participant in the march, stating “this is a real protest by a sad farmer community. They are working hard for their demands”. All news outlets explicitly mentioned that the farmers were looking for more than just debt forgiveness. It was clear that they were also calling for the implementation of property rights and minimum support prices for their produce as well as the cancellation of river-sharing agreements. Attention was also drawn to the severity of their conditions, epitomised by their bleeding, blistered feet- a sign of dignified, non-violent desperation. The public didn’t need any more convincing. Images of the march at night went viral on social media on March 11th.  There were also posts that highlighted the ingenuity of the farmers, making them stand out as individuals as opposed to faceless members of a crowd.  The success of the march, especially in terms of public relations, points to why the protests by Tamil Nadu farmers in Delhi last year didn’t amount to much. Starting in March last year, around 150 farmers from Tamil Nadu staged a protest for 144 days outside the Jantar Mantar to ask for a loan waiver, which would be financed by the Centre’s drought relief fund. Their protests also received media coverage and sympathy from statesmen like Rahul Gandhi and the chief minister of Tamil Nadu but failed to elicit the same level of public support as the long march in Maharashtra. There are likely many reasons for this. First, the numbers might have been too low to justify a full-blown media frenzy. 150 farmers feels too small compared to a procession of 40,000 farmers. Secondly, given the fast pace of the 24-hours news cycle, the 144-day protest likely lost relevance to news readers and viewers well before its conclusion. The protest also lacked a groundswell of support from beginning as the farmers from Tamil Nadu weren’t on their home turf. Being stationed in the capital, which was necessary given that it was a federal rather than a state issue, might have actually worked against their favour. Lastly, unlike their counterparts in Maharashtra, their protest tactics, which included the brandishing of skulls, the consumption of faeces and stripping, might have proved too “unpalatable” to the public. With their well-oiled public relations machine and sponsorship by a national farmers union, the Maharashtra farmers were able to wrest public support and effectively demonstrate the importance of their cause.
