This is the problem that homegrown firm Ethereum Push Notification Service (EPNS) has set out to solve. The company launched its own <a href="https://app.epns.io/">mainnet</a> earlier this month, and has been touted to be amongst the most important early-stage web3 startups in the world right now.<br /><br />EPNS has raised $1.41 million in two funding rounds so far, from investors including WazirX’s Nischal Shetty, Balaji Srinivasan, a former chief technology office (CTO) at a16z General Partners, Gitcoin co-founder Scott Moore, Mariano Conti, the founder of MakerDAO, and more. Polygon co-founder, Sandeep Nailwal, also participated in the company’s second funding round. The company also partnered with <a href="https://wazirx.com/signup?invite=2kpah6gr&amp;utm_source=business-insider&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=article-advertorial">WazirX</a> on January 27, to promote blockchain-based notifications that are chain-agnostic.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="wazirx" comment="wazirx" text="wazirx"><span data-til="noop">wazirx</span></cmsannotation><br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="What does EPNS do?" comment="subhead" text="What does EPNS do?"><span data-til="noop">What does EPNS do?</span></cmsannotation><br />Push notifications are at the core of most connected ecosystems today. Introduced as far back as 2008, it’s what allows apps on our iPhones and Android devices to communicate with users about offers, delivery updates, and other actions. This is a service that’s not available for web3 protocols and decentralised apps (dapps) right now.<br /><br />EPNS aims to solve this by building something called ‘channels’, which allows dapps to communicate with users by sending them alerts. Essentially, the standard will allow a decentralised wallet service to send notifications to users on their devices, and tell them when the value of their non-fungible token (NFT) or cryptocurrency has changed, etc. <br /><br />The EPNS communication layer is built on top of the EIP-712 standard, which is a system that’s built into the Ethereum protocol.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="EPNS’ possible use-cases" comment="subhead" text="EPNS’ possible use-cases"><span data-til="noop">EPNS’ possible use-cases</span></cmsannotation><br />As mentioned above, the protocol can be used by dapps to send notifications. This includes decentralized exchanges (DEXs), decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces and projects.<br /><br />For instance, a DeFi app can send notifications to users when they’re about to be liquidated, while a DEX can send a notification when the price of a token falls. NFT marketplaces, on the other hand, can send notifications about specific items going live, or a specific rise or drop in the price of an NFT.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="How does a person use EPNS?" comment="subhead" text="How does a person use EPNS?"><span data-til="noop">How does a person use EPNS?</span></cmsannotation><br />EPNS users are split into two groups — channels and subscribers. Channels are for the companies and dapps that want to send notifications, while subscribers are the users who will get notifications.<br /><br />To get channels, developers will have to use EPNS’ own dapp or the company’s javascript library. EPNS is an open source protocol, which means anyone can not only use it, but also build on top of it. Unlike web2 systems, like Android or iOS, notifications on web3 won’t be completely free, which means that dapps will need to pick and choose which notifications they should or should not send. <br /><br />Why? Because everything on a blockchain system is another transaction. And that transaction requires a payment. EPNS offers open, closed and mutual channels, which are meant for different kinds of platforms.<br /><br />An open channel means literally anyone will be allowed to subscribe to a platform’s notifications, while closed and mutual channels allow a greater degree of control. With a closed channel, dapps can choose to send notifications only to their users, like a wallet service sending notifications to individual holders. A mutual channel is where channel creators will be able to approve subscribers, but anyone can apply for that approval.<br /><br />For subscribers, the EPNS dapp acts as a go-between for the web2 and web3 worlds, allowing the notifications to come through on Android, iOS devices or Chrome Browser extension.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="EPNS’ governance token" comment="subhead" text="EPNS’ governance token"><span data-til="noop">EPNS’ governance token</span></cmsannotation><br />Much like any new web3 service, EPNS also has its own cryptocurrency. However, the company’s token isn’t really one that’s meant to be traded and made money off in the short term. Instead, EPNS’ token, called $PUSH, is a governance token that was launched last year. It is listed on <a href="https://wazirx.com/signup?invite=2kpah6gr&amp;utm_source=business-insider&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=article-advertorial">WazirX</a> as well and was trading at ₹97.36 at the time of writing this report. <br /><br />The holders of this token actually have a stake in the system, in the sense that they will have a say in the future of the protocol. Those holding the PUSH token will not only have governance rights about features, charges and other elements of EPNS in future, but they will also have their own rewards for the same. The fees dapps pay to EPNS’ network in future will be used to reward the holders of PUSH in future.<br /><cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="EPNS Mainnet" comment="subhead" text="EPNS Mainnet"><span data-til="noop">EPNS Mainnet</span></cmsannotation><br />EPNS has existed for over a year, but if you troll around on the internet for a bit, you might find articles talking about EPNS ‘going live’ on January 11. That’s because January 11 is when the mainnet for EPNS went live.<br /><br />Channels and subscribers will both sort of live on this mainnet. Just like most other web3 services that aim to be platforms of the future, EPNS’ mainnet is what decides how the protocol progresses in the long term. Basically, the mainnet is to EPNS what the Android Open Source Project is to Android.<br /><br />The mainnet is where the company, and the community at large will innovate in the long term. In web3 terms, the mainnet is the primary blockchain platform that powers a protocol. Global regulators are trying to figure out how to regulate the crypto ecosystem. When laws were drafted, they weren’t done keeping the nature of decentralized business in mind. The regulator is not against innovation but it will take patience and understanding to redraft the set laws. <br /><br />Governments are trying to protect the users while simultaneously trying to understand the crypto space. The secular trend is upwards and this is a global phenomenon. ‘Within 2 years, India will have the largest pool of web3 developers in the world’

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>To the shock and wonder of many on both sides of the border, US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-mexico-president-meeting-immigration-2016-8" target="_blank">announced</a> that he would visit Mexico on Wednesday ahead of his much-anticipated speech on immigration, a trip confirmed by Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.</p><p>Peña Nieto said he extended an <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/donald-trump-mulls-trip-to-mexico-to-meet-president-enriquepena-nieto-1472611208" target="_blank">invitation to both</a>&#xa0;Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Trump, but Trump's visit - after months of him disparaging Mexico and Mexican immigrants on the campaign trail - has already been decried by observers on both sides of the border as a considerable misstep by the embattled Mexican leader.</p><p>Much of the criticism has centered on&#xa0;the notion&#xa0;that Peña Nieto, in an attempt to be diplomatic, has played into Trump's hands.</p><p><span>"I think President&#xa0;</span><span>Peña</span><span> is taking an enormous political risk by hosting Trump. If he's perceived as going soft on Trump, it will hurt him greatly, he will even be considered like a traitor," former <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/vincente-fox-enrique-pena-donald-trump-traitor-2016-8" target="_blank">Mexican President Vicente Fox told CNN on Wednesday</a>.</span></p><p><div></div></p><p>"Well I will say something else...great photo for his campaign that the government has given to Mr. Trump," Mexican journalist Carlos Puig wrote&#xa0;in the above tweet.</p><p><div></div></p><p>"Peña Nieto repeated time and again that he would not put himself in the foreigners' election. He is doing that and in the worst way: lending himself to help Trump," Carlos Bravo Regidor, a professor in Mexico City, <a href="https://twitter.com/carlosbravoreg/status/770840572034551808" target="_blank">tweeted</a>.</p><p>Regidor added that Peña Nieto would <a href="https://twitter.com/carlosbravoreg/status/770841483649757188" target="_blank">try to show</a> that he could moderate Trump's rhetoric but said it wouldn't work, as Trump would return to the US and say he had <a href="https://twitter.com/carlosbravoreg/status/770843083940306944" target="_blank">backed down</a> the Mexican president.</p><p><div></div></p><p>Trump has a rich history of comments involving Mexico and its government. He kicked off his presidential campaign by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-mexico-government-wall-vicente-fox-2016-2" target="_blank">declaring the Mexico was sending rapists and other criminals</a> across the border. Peña Nieto, in turn, has compared Trump's rise to that of Mussolini and Hitler. And he has said Mexico would not pay for the border wall Trump says he will build.</p><p>Yet with the invitation, Peña Nieto "has converted himself into a piece of propaganda for the worse enemy of the country," <a href="https://twitter.com/jshm00/status/770821247655481344" target="_blank">read a tweet</a> from&#xa0;Jesús Silva Herzog Flores, a&#xa0;government and public policy professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey</p><p><div></div></p><p>While the visit has elicited a kind of amused surprise in the US - another twist in a campaign full of them&#xa0;- the news of the trip has stirred outrage in Mexico. The&#xa0;anger with Trump there is widespread and noticeable.</p><p>By giving the appearance of accepting the Republican candidate's past statements, the Mexican president has opened himself to more criticism from his countrymen - only <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/mexican-president-pena-nieto-florida-property-backlash-2016-8" target="_blank">23% of whom approve of his performance</a> in office.</p><p><div></div></p><p>"High risk: Mexicans would not pardon [Enrique Peña Nieto] for remaining silent before Trump. [Peña Nieto] has to demand an apology from" Trump, influential Univision anchor Jorge Ramos noted.</p><p>"Trump is saying that we will pay for his wall and we respond [by] receiving him with open arms. Really?!?" said Wilson Center scholar Viridiana Rios <a href="https://twitter.com/Viri_Rios/status/770824612393299968" target="_blank">added in a tweet</a>.</p><p>"The biggest stupidity in the history of the Mexican presidency. There is no parallel to what was just announced," <span>Herzog Flores <a href="https://twitter.com/jshm00/status/770824354875650048" target="_blank">said</a>.</span></p><p>If the tensions that have built between Mexican and Trump surface in the meeting, it's probably won't be immediately apparent. Peña Nieto&#xa0;and Trump are slated to meet early Wednesday afternoon at the Mexican president's official residence in Mexico City, Los Pinos. Donald Trump's visit may already be a lose-lose situation for Mexico's president

<p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>US President Barack Obama, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are in Ottawa this week, taking part in their final "Three Amigos" summit.<p>Trudeau and Peña Nieto met in the Canadian capital yesterday for introductions and some light cardio, and they were joined by Obama on Wednesday for talks on trade, energy, and other issues facing North America.</p><p>When the three of them attempted to shake hands in front of the press on Wednesday afternoon, things got a little ... awkward.</p><p><div><div style="position:relative;padding-bottom:calc(100% / 1.74)"></div></div></p><p>The three leaders made it on the dais without incident, stopping and standing in front of the Canadian Parliament building.</p><p>After a brief wave, Trudeau reaches toward Obama for a handshake first, perhaps indicating an acknowledgement of US primacy on the continent.</p><p><div><div style="position:relative;padding-bottom:calc(100% / 1.74)"></div></div></p><p>Then, while continuing to shake Obama's hand, Trudeau reaches toward Peña Nieto. Things got odd in Ottawa when the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the US tried to shake hands

At least 50 people were killed and mroe than 400 were injured.<p>By Monday morning, it was already the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.</p><p>A gunman,&#xa0;whom police identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Nevada, opened fire with what&#xa0;police said were&#xa0;automatic weapons from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Politicians react to Las Vegas massacre, the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Thomson Reuters</span></p><p class="caption">Republican US presidential nominee Trump speaks during the first presidential debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>Hillary Clinton's performance in the first presidential debate buoyed hopes of her victory in November, especially in Mexico, where her performance <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/us-expats-in-this-mexico-city-bar-raised-their-glasses-during-the-debate-every-time-trump-mentioned-mexico-2016-9" target="_blank">raised spirits</a> and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/fx-markets-september-276-2016-2016-9" target="_blank">the value of the peso</a>.</p><p>But win or lose, there is still the potential for Donald Trump, who has made having Mexico pay for a wall on the southern border a central campaign promise, to have a lasting impact on the Mexican political landscape.</p><p>The Republican candidate has already caused turmoil in the sitting Mexican government.</p><p>In the wake of Trump's visit with current President Enrique Peña Nieto in early September, Luis Videgaray, one of Peña Nieto's closest advisers and reportedly the person who suggested Trump's visit, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/mexican-government-cabinet-changes-after-donald-trump-visit-2016-9" target="_blank">stepped down as finance minister</a>.</p><p>As Trump has tapped into a dissatisfaction with the political status quo in the US, his stance toward Mexico appears to have bolstered the position of a Mexican presidential candidate who has the same <a href="https://www.eurasiagroup.net/live-post/is-the-left-headed-for-a-comeback-in-mexico" target="_blank">anti-establishment appeal</a>.</p><p>Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, often referred to as AMLO, has twice run for Mexico's presidency, losing <a href="http://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/articles/19611/the-trump-effect-why-mexico-s-image-problem-spells-trouble-for-the-u-s" target="_blank">narrowly</a> in 2006 and again by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_general_election,_2012" target="_blank">6 points</a> to Peña Nieto in 2012 - and he's set to run again in 2018.</p><h2><span>'If Trump were to win ... Lopez Obrador would have a field day"</span></h2><p><span>AMLO's party, the National Regeneration Movement, or Morena - which he formed in 2014 after <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rodrigo-aguilera/the-slow-suicide-of-mexic_b_6807768.html" target="_blank">breaking</a> with the leftist Party of the Democratic Revolution - got a boost from Mexico's midterm elections in June, in which the party won <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/mexican-presidential-hopeful-andres-manuel-lopez-obrador-failed-to-disclose-all-his-assets-1475018561" target="_blank">18% of state-level votes</a> nationwide (but <a href="http://www.latimes.com/world/mexico-americas/la-fg-mexico-elections-20160607-snap-story.html" target="_blank">no states</a>), a number of <a href="http://www.latimes.com/world/mexico-americas/la-fg-mexico-elections-20160607-snap-story.html" target="_blank">local elections</a>, and Mexico City's <a href="http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/news-columns-blogs/andres-oppenheimer/article82535167.html" target="_blank">vote</a> for a constitutional assembly.</span></p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>REUTERS/Ginnette Riquelme</span></p><p class="caption">Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, president of the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA) party, delivers a speech to supporters, in Mexico City, June 26, 2016.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>"Lopez Obrador was the big winner in the last election cycle, because they had so much to gain," David Shirk, a professor at the University of San Diego, told Business Insider. "They were a nonpresence, and they basically were able to sap a whole bunch of strength away from the PRD, and no other party made as large a gain as in the election as Lopez Obrador."</p><p>Peña Nieto's Institutional Revolutionary Party lost <a href="http://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/articles/19611/the-trump-effect-why-mexico-s-image-problem-spells-trouble-for-the-u-s" target="_blank">six of the nine governorships</a> it held going into that election cycle, a defeat attributed to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/mexicos-president-pena-nieto-and-contracts-2015-8" target="_blank">corruption scandals</a>, the country's weak economy, and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/mexican-homicides-reach-new-record-2016-9" target="_blank">rising violence</a>, all of which have dogged the party.</p><p>The shortcomings of the PRI and other mainstream parties, coupled with Trump's incendiary rhetoric about Mexico, has burnished AMLO's appeal as an outsider willing to challenge the status quo and as a defender of Mexicans.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>REUTERS/Henry Romero</span></p><p class="caption">Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto gives a speech in Mexico City.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>"If Trump were to win the U.S. elections, Lopez Obrador would have a field day," Miami Herald columnist Andrés Oppenheimer <a href="http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/news-columns-blogs/andres-oppenheimer/article82535167.html" target="_blank">wrote</a> in June, after the PRI's electoral drubbing. "Lopez Obrador's fiery speeches against Trump's Mexico-bashing would rally many Mexicans behind him."</p><p>Recent presidential polls have found AMLO in contention in Mexico's multiparty system.</p><p>An early August poll by Mexican newspaper Reforma <a href="http://expansion.mx/politica/2016/08/15/zavala-y-amlo-aventajan-rumbo-a-la-eleccion-presidencial-de-2018-encuesta" target="_blank">found his support</a> at between 24% and 29%, comparable to the 24% to 27% support for Margarita Zavala of the rightist National Action Party.</p><p>An August poll by Mexican newspaper El Universal found him with a <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/mexico-politics-energy-idUSL1N1AQ274" target="_blank">36% approval</a> rating, while another round of polls that month <a href="http://www.radioformula.com.mx/notas.asp?Idn=618272&amp;idFC=2016" target="_blank">found him</a> with 24.8% to Zavala's 25.99%</p><p>A recent <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/mexican-presidential-hopeful-andres-manuel-lopez-obrador-failed-to-disclose-all-his-assets-1475018561" target="_blank">Reforma poll</a> found him trailing Zavala by only 2 percentage points, and other surveys have put him in first with as much as 28%, <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/mexican-presidential-hopeful-andres-manuel-lopez-obrador-failed-to-disclose-all-his-assets-1475018561" target="_blank">according</a> to The Wall Street Journal.</p><p>If Trump were to take the White House in November and doesn't moderate his tone on Mexico, chances are AMLO would benefit.</p><p>"If the negative rhetoric on Mexico would continue after the US election, it would definitely bolster Andrés Manuel López Obrador's competitiveness because he would be framed as more nationalistic and more capable candidate to really fight back that negative rhetoric that has been taking place in the US against Mexico," Carlos Petersen, Eurasia Group's Latin America associate, <a href="https://twitter.com/EGFound/status/764157812528275456" target="_blank">said</a> in August.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>AP Photo/Christian Palma</span></p><p class="caption">Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, former presidential candidate of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), gives a thumbs up to his supporters at Mexico City's main plaza, the Zocalo, September 9, 2012.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>Moreover, if Mexico's current government continues to be plagued by corruption allegations and if <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/mexican-homicides-reach-new-record-2016-9" target="_blank">the current security situation doesn't improve</a>, Mexico's established parties will likely have more trouble steering voters away from him.</p><p>"In two years, if incumbents haven't done more to address Mexico's corruption and violence problems, it will be very hard to scare people with the prospect of a Lopez Obrador victory," former US Ambassador to Mexico Tony Garza told Oppenheimer <a href="http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/news-columns-blogs/andres-oppenheimer/article82535167.html" target="_blank">in June</a>.</p><p>"People will say, 'Are you telling me that I should be scared of Lopez Obrador, when you haven't done the things that you should have been doing for years?'"</p><h2>'<span>He is his own man'</span></h2><p>Unlike Trump, AMLO has held public office but spent little time in the private sector, but in other aspects, the two are fitting counterparts.</p><p>"I guess the main point of distinction that sets AMLO apart is that he is, in some ways he is like Trump," said Shirk, who is also the director of USD's Justice in Mexico program. "He doesn't play according to the traditional rules. He is his own man, and his platform is really about him as much as they try to make it seem otherwise."</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Joe Raedle/Getty Images</span></p><p class="caption">Donald Trump.</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>Both have embraced populist stances regarding jobs and the economy.</p><p>While Trump has targeted NAFTA in his campaign, <a href="http://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/articles/19611/the-trump-effect-why-mexico-s-image-problem-spells-trouble-for-the-u-s" target="_blank">AMLO has railed</a> against <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/mexico-politics-energy-idUSL1N1AQ274" target="_blank">constitutional reforms</a> (the most polarizing of which opened the country's oil industry to private investment) enacted under Peña Nieto, promising to reverse them.</p><p>And as Trump has been buffeted by reports of financial impropriety and other misdeeds, AMLO has been accused of less-than-honest dealings, most recently with reports finding he <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/mexican-presidential-hopeful-andres-manuel-lopez-obrador-failed-to-disclose-all-his-assets-1475018561" target="_blank">failed to disclose</a> his ownership of two Mexico City apartments - nothing illegal, but a potential blow to efforts to separate himself from Mexico's establishment.</p><p>And like Trump, AMLO is competing to lead a country where economic fortune has divergent for people at the top and the bottom. "<span>Right now the situation in Mexico is very interesting because you have a population that is very divided," Petersen <a href="https://twitter.com/EGFound/status/764157315289317377" target="_blank">said</a>.</span></p><p><span><span>"You have one part [of the country] that has benefited a lot from these [current] policies and another that hasn't really seen any benefits," Petersen <a href="https://twitter.com/EGFound/status/764157315289317377" target="_blank">added</a>. "And that's what the political environment shows."</span></span></p><p><span><span>Former Mexican President Vicente Fox has even drawn a comparison between Trump and AMLO, calling them both "<a href="http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/articulo/nacion/politica/2016/08/9/fox-compara-lopez-obrador-con-trump-les-dice-bocones" target="_blank">loudmouths</a>."</span></span></p><h2>EPN Trump slump <span>≠ AMLO Trump bump</span></h2><p>While AMLO may be trying to play to a broader constituency - striking a more conciliatory tone in late summer, seeking out alliances with other parts of Mexico's political left and easing his stance on some of Peña Nieto's reforms, as Carin Zissis of the Americas Society/Council of the Americas <a href="http://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/articles/19611/the-trump-effect-why-mexico-s-image-problem-spells-trouble-for-the-u-s" target="_blank">noted in early August</a> - there are reasons to doubt he would triumph in a presidential election that is still more than a year away. </p><p><span>"That is just name recognition," Viridiana Rios, a global fellow at Washington, DC's Wilson Center, said of AMLO's performance in recent polls. "[It's] clear people know him more than </span><span>others just because he has been running for office for so long." </span></p><p>"Whoever is against Peña has a chance now," Rios told Business Insider. "That is AMLO but also PAN and everybody."</p><p><span><span>Lopez Obrador benefits from positioning himself <a href="http://seekingalpha.com/article/4001329-mexican-trump-noise" target="_blank">against the status quo</a>, with which many Mexicans have grown frustrated. Moreover, that he is <a href="http://seekingalpha.com/article/4001329-mexican-trump-noise" target="_blank">the first</a> presidential candidate to secure a place on the ticket of a main party also likely boosted his image. He has <a href="http://www.animalpolitico.com/2015/06/para-lopez-obrador-legalizar-el-aborto-y-el-matrimonio-gay-no-es-algo-tan-importante/" target="_blank">downplayed</a> the importance of issues like legalizing abortion and gay marriage and spoken of <a href="http://www.proceso.com.mx/451090/lopez-obrador-complice-la-corrupcion" target="_blank">gentle treatment</a> for those implicated in corruption.</p><p><span>"With respect to AMLO I would only say he does not represent a </span><span>progressive, smart left but an authoritarian, old one," Rios argued.
