Volvo Trucks has unveiled a whole line of heavy duty electric trucks featuring ranges of nearly 200 miles that will go on sale in 2021

(Eds: Minor edits) <p>Bengaluru, Feb 21 () Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday said the Union Budget 2021-22 is about the role of government as a facilitator and the private sector as a key driver of economic growth, without which the country would be losing a big opportunity. </p><p>"The most important component or input required here is the participation of the private sector. Unless the private sector is energised enough, unless it is facilitated enough, India is just losing a very big opportunity," Sitharaman said here during the interactive session organised by the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce. </p><p>Sitharaman underlined that the nation's growing and aspiring needs and demands across the various sectors cannot be served just by the state government and central governments put together. </p><p>According to the Finance Minister, the coronavirus vaccine was a big example of government-private partnership. </p><p>"To be a world leader with that specific India touch, which is more humane, more about bringing everybody together, which is peaceful, which actually wishes that the world progresses for everybody's good. </p><p>If that is the way India approaches its responsibility, that will be incomplete unless the government plays the role, it is expected to play the facilitator and unless the private sector plays the role of a key driver. So that's the message this budget has talked about," the Finance Minister told the gathering. </p><p>Sitharaman noted that the budget was about setting the path for the decade. </p><p>She pointed out that the stimulus package, which largely depended on the governments borrowing, was aimed at sectors which provided the multiplying effect such as infrastructure, the budget funding, where public expenditure was going to be undertaken. </p><p>Observing that the Centre has clearly funded stimulus with the borrowed money, she said the government was aware of fiscal management. </p><p>"Debt to GDP, another indicators which are important for a healthy economy, has to be carefully managed in such a way that sooner in a sense, in a reasonable time frame, the fiscal deficit will also be kept under the healthy level and not let unattended for decades together," Sitharaman pointed out. </p><p>The Finance Minister said the government wanted uninterrupted yet sustainable growth. </p><p>The event saw a galaxy of tycoons and industry leaders such as Wipro founder Azim Premji, former director of Infosys T V Mohandas Pai, noted cardiac surgeon Dr Devi Prasad Shetty and president and chairman of Volvo Group India Kamal Bali </p><p>Premji, in his speech, emphasised on taking along the private sector in the COVID-19 vaccination drive to speed up the inoculation process whereas Pai said the nation wants the companies to set up their industries within the country instead of becoming a digital colony. </p>He also suggested giving away tablets to the children from weaker sections so that they were not left out in the 'Digital India' mission. The commercial showcases immense steadiness of these Volvo trucks. The live test was set up to demonstrate the precision and directional stability of Volvo Dynamic Steering, which makes the new Volvo FM easier to drive. Directed by <keyword id="1939194" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="Andrea-Nilsson">Andrea Nilsson</keyword>, the editors have used background audio score of Enya: Only Time for this commercial.<br />
<br /> Immediately after the advertisement was shown <keyword id="6354616" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Twitter">Twitter</keyword> and <keyword id="6354576" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Facebook">Facebook</keyword> feeds lit up with hundreds of comments and praises. In two days the advertisement has already surpassed 6.1 million views on YouTube. This is probably the effect that Volvo was hoping for and got. However, this is a dangerous stunt to perform and is done under strict supervision of professionals and should not be tried in any form. <p><a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/PR-CO-20140106-904416.html">iHeartRadio announced today at CES in Las Vegas</a> that its app would be available in new Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Kia cars. (iHeartRadio is owned by Clear Channel Media and Entertainment.)</p>
<p>Separately - but in not much of a coincidence - <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/PR-CO-20140106-904156.html">Pandora announced</a> it will begin rolling out what it calls "in-car advertising" in the vehicles where its app is already installed.</p>
<p>Pandora has existing deals with Ford and BMW; advertisers on board with its new driver-targeting ads include BP, Ford Motor Company, State Farm and Taco Bell.</p>
<p>Until recently, Sirius XM had dominated streaming music alternatives to traditional FM/AM radio in cars, with its satellite music service, which is installed already in dozens more car models. But as it becomes easier to deliver streaming music via regular wireless service, iHeartRadio and Pandora appear to believe they have found a cheaper way to compete with Sirius.</p>

These are both important categories, as car audio becomes increasingly sophisticated, optimized for maximum listening pleasure; and as infotainment systems point toward everything from connected cars to autonomous vehicles.</p><p>Our 2016 Audio System of the Year is Bowers &amp; Wilkins.</p><p>Over the course of the past 12 months, the BI <keyword id="34991" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="transportation">Transportation</keyword> team has sampled every high-end audio system available in vehicles and installed my the original manufacturer - as well as some systems aimed as more mass-market cars and trucks. (We didn't consider any aftermarket systems.)</p><h2>The finalists</h2><p>We distilled our experiences to a list of five finalists:</p><ul><li><strong>Bose</strong></li><li><strong>Bowers &amp; Wilkins</strong></li><li><strong>Fender</strong></li><li><strong>Naim Audio</strong></li><li><strong>Revel</strong></li></ul><p>I'm BI's resident car-audiophile (sort of), and I hashed out my assessments with Transportation Reporters Ben Zhang and Danielle Muoio, as well as Senior Transportation Editor Cadie Thompson.</p><p>Our process for this award was fairly subjective. But because we enjoyed so many systems over the year, we were able to notice what some audio setups did better than others. By and large, however, car-audio systems these days are uniformly excellent. The old AM/FM-two-speaker arrangements of yesteryear are long gone. And even the most basic vehicles frequently offer Bluetooth integration, AUX ports, satellite radio, and multi-speaker soundstages, complete with powerful amplifiers, carefully tuned speakers, and subwoofers.</p><p>Upmarket systems are often an option on cars, and at times a pricey one. But in our view they're well worth considering.</p><p>Our five finalists each provide a distinctive listening experience, across a wide range of musical styles. Obviously, when listening to music in a vehicle, you will be using a variety of media: terrestrial radio, satellite radio, CDs, MP3s, Bluetooth streaming, and streaming audio services such as Pandora, Spotify, and Tidal. You may also be using USB inputs or an AUX jack, so the quality of your source audio will vary. (For the most part, I've found that plugging into the AUX jack gives me the best modern audio, although some experts maintain that the USB port is better, and that using CD-player input still offers the best sound).</p><h2>The big winner</h2><p>Bowers &amp; Wilkins is a British company that's been around since the mid-1960s and is renowned for its home-audio systems. In the cars we sampled that had B&amp;W setups - including Volvos, Maseratis, the new BMW 7 Series - the listening experience was sublime. B&amp;W is all about detail, detail, detail. The bass is lush and resonant, the midrange is a veritable riot of musical information, and the highs have the piercing clarity of angelic falsettos. If you like to experience your music deeply, then B&amp;W has what you seek. Especially if you're a fan of classical music. But really, everything sounds wonderful spilling from these speakers.</p><p>As far as the combination of car and B&amp;W systems goes, I'd say that the BMW 7 Series provided the best setting, for what it's worth (16 speakers, 1,400 watts in the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/bmw-7-series-review-2015-12">BMW we tested</a>).</p><h2>The runner up</h2><p>This was tricky, because objectively the Naim Audio system in the new Bentley Bentayga SUV is mind-boggling good, by far the best car-audio execution I've ever head in my entire career. It's almost indescribably superb. I heard detail I had never heard before, in music I had listened to countless times, at times on high-end home audio systems. The experience was, frankly, almost disturbing. And it happened again and again.</p><p>But the Naim system isn't as widely available as the Bowers &amp; Wilkins, and I didn't enjoy it outside the Bentayga. As fabulous as it is, that put it in second place.</p><p>The Bose, Revel, and Fender systems were also wonderful - each has its own distinctive quality.
