While they are quick to dismiss anything they don't resonate with, time and again, they have proved that they care deeply about the environment and want to opt for brands that are working towards reducing waste, conserving energy and slowly moving towards greener alternatives.<br /><br />A recent campaign by PepsiCo’s energy drink, Sting, took a very different route to ask people to save energy. It came up with a TVC where the woman protagonist is seen giving out a certain phone number to the boy who helped her climb stairs. <br /><br />The brand received over 40,000 calls on the same number in just 48 hours, and Sting took this opportunity to create awareness and spread a social message on following a sustainable lifestyle and conserving energy.<br /><br />We thought it was an interesting marketing strategy and decided to find out the thought behind the campaign. With that in mind, we wanted to pick up a moment from their life and give a quirky spin to it. With this commercial, the female protagonist gets completely impressed and ends up giving her number to the male protagonist. With over 40000 calls being received on the same number in just 48 hours, Sting took this opportunity to create awareness and spread a social message. He thanks his mom, buds, landlady, cat, ex-girlfriend, spot boy, and everyone who showed up to encourage and support him through his journey. The film then re-establishes the prime narrative on how kings aren’t made overnight, they’re Made Over Nights. <br /><br />Telling us why the brand chose Siddhant to be the face of the campaign, Sharma said, “Made Over Nights is a tribute to everyone out there who's working to make their own dreams come true. His journey resonates well with our brand.”<br /><br />“How overwhelming has your overnight success been?” Siddhant is often asked by his fans but he says this is hardly true. He says that the Bollywood industry demands perfection and he has spent extended nights refining his skills, “constantly pushing to look beyond failures in the pursuit of delivering the finest.” <br /><br />So, he was thrilled when Budweiser approached him with an idea to share his struggles and success story with the world. “I've been following Budweiser; they always collaborate with upcoming artists all around the world. Lionel Messi, Houston were a part of it and these are the people who’ve inspired me in my own journey. So, when the conversation started with Budweiser, I was very excited to hop on. The fact that they chose me, made me feel like I have done something great in life. It is a validation of sorts. As a creator that caters to GenZ, with 2.2 million followers on Instagram and 40.1k million followers on Twitter, Siddhant has become a coveted option for brands. The young star has won many hearts with his films so far. He believes in a simple mantra, “Hustle Se Haasil” and that hard work pays off.<br /><br />With his latest campaign with Budweiser, Siddhant said he wants to inspire the younger generation to pursue their dreams, overcome challenges and find their own ground.<br /><br />Without revealing the budget for this campaign with Siddhant, Budweiser’s Sharma said that it is ‘massive.’ “The campaigns spends are quite massive because we see this as a year of recovery. Our commitment to India is strengthening year-on-year, Budweiser is the lead brand in our portfolio and it has a lot of brand love amongst the audience. That’s why our investments in this will be quite big-ticket during the summer. This is also the year where we believe consumer confidence is also high; they are much more open to hearing brand conversations and I believe we have the right message for them. While our investments were muted in the past two years, we are coming back at the right time. Summer is at its peak and I believe we will be putting quite a ‘bomb’ with this campaign.”<br /><br />Sharma has a big-scale media plan in mind for this campaign; it will be live across digital channels, television, print and will also be seen on digital billboards. It will be followed by an influencer marketing campaign with a similar set of brand advocates.<br />

They want to go from the current 5,000 to 20,000 in five years, and then to 50,000 in ten.</p><p>But while the whole winning-a-World Cup-thing would be great, Barclays analysts think that the real winners of China's foray into the soccer world could be major sportswear companies that already have a presence in the country.</p><p>"We believe recent sports campaigns and initiatives introduced by the China government have created large pockets of opportunities in the region for brands such as adidas and Puma," says Barclays analyst Vineet Sharma.</p><p>"The latest deal between adidas and the Chinese education ministry to develop a [soccer] training program should act as catalyst in promoting football to the youth and we believe could make [soccer] the fastest growing sport in China over the next three to five years, albeit from a small base," he added.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table click-to-enlarge"><div><div class="image"><a title_source="Barclays" title_caption="China has a lot of room for growth in the soccer sector." class="zoomin" href="https://static-ssl.businessinsider.com/image/5638fd5abd86effb5b8bbc27-960/screen shot 2015-11-03 at 1.30.15 pm.png"><span class="sprites click-to-enlarge-icon" title="Click to enlarge"></span></a><p class="source"><span>Barclays</span></p><p class="caption">China has a lot of room for growth in the soccer sector.</p></div><p></p></div></div>Notably, Barclays' call comes at a time when major US and EU-based companies have not only been worried about China, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/sp-500-companies-global-exposure-lower-earnings-growth-2015-9">but have also attributed their weaker Q3 numbers to it</a>.</p><p>However, "despite recent uncertainty regarding China's economic performance, it appears that international sports brands have not been impacted and are not seeing an end to the growth story within the region. Sports and lifestyle is becoming increasingly popular amongst Chinese consumers alongside with a willingness to spend on strong international brands such as Nike, adidas and Puma," <span>writes analyst Julian Easthope.</span></p><p>Notably, Nike <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/nike-q1-earnings-2015-9">saw revenues jump 30% in China in Q3</a>, and it is now the sponsor of the Chinese national football team. Furthermore, adidas's Q2 results showed a +19% organic revenue growth in China, according to Barclays.</p><p><span>Already, "adidas and Nike combined dominate the US $5bn/year football kit market and adidas recorded EUR2.1 bn (US $2.35 bn) of [soccer] sales in 2014," notes Easthope. And, if more </span><span>Chinese people</span><span> get into soccer, then these companies only stand to benefit from it.</span></p><p>adidas also recently signed a three-year deal with the Chinese education ministry to promote football in schools "in the hope of creating interest in the sport," according to Easthope.</p><p>"The deal should help adidas nurture the next generation of football players and inspire new football fans in China, in our view.
