He will travel on foot across 5 villages, meeting families of farmers who have committed suicide and those that are facing acute financial crisis due to crop damage. 
 
Gandhi, who was in Punjab a day ago meeting with affected farmers, is trying to score a huge political point for his Congress party, who were rooted out of New Delhi by a thumping victory of the BJP about a year ago. He knows that for the Congress it is really a do-or-die moment, where any false step could cost him and his party dearly. 
 
As for Modi, the worry seems to be mounting, as experts, industrialists, farmers and the regular public have started questioning the government’s speed for action. Many industry stalwarts such as Deepak Parekh have already raised concerns over the Government’s inability to implement key reformatory legislation such as the new labour bill, land acquisition bill and even the GST that will help India back into the speedy growth path. 
 
The next few days will be extremely important not only for Rahul Gandhi and his political aspirations, but also for Modi and the country’s economy, because each bill passed or not passed, will have a direct impact on the India’s economic health.

Toxicology as a subject is quite neglected in the medical curriculum, Dr Tejas Prajapati, a clinical medical toxicologist at the LG Hospital in Ahmedabad, said at a press conference on Wednesday after a symposium on 'Occupational health hazards in agriculture' held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (<keyword id="40458" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="aiims" source="Orion">AIIMS</keyword>), Nagpur. Doctors at the PHCs are the first contact in the case of a patient exposed to pesticides and chemicals. They are already loaded with various other medical programmes and works and a case of such a medical emergency is immediately sent to higher centres and the "<keyword id="2284670" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="golden-period" source="Orion">golden period</keyword>" is lost, he noted. Under the quota, 70 per cent seats in medical colleges were reserved for students in their districts. The number of medical colleges in the state's Marathwada and Vidarbha regions are less compared to other areas. Hence, students from these regions suffered during admissions in medical colleges.
