Government hospitals in all districts of <keyword id="6357713" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="uttar-pradesh" source="Orion">Uttar Pradesh</keyword> will now have dedicated wards reserved for members of the <keyword id="6358953" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="transgender" source="Orion">transgender</keyword> community. The members will be issued identity cards to help them get benefits of various government welfare schemes, said a state government spokesman. Efforts in this direction have already begun in <keyword id="3481192" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="prayagraj" source="Orion">Prayagraj</keyword>. Prayagraj Chief Medical Officer, Dr Nanak Saran, said that a five-bed reserved ward for members of transgender community have been set up at four hospitals in the city, including SRN Hospital, <keyword id="643887" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="tej-bahadur-sapru" source="Orion">Tej Bahadur Sapru</keyword> (Beli) Hospital, <keyword id="14691261" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="motilal-nehru-divisional" source="Orion">Motilal Nehru Divisional</keyword> (Colvin) Hospital and Dufferin Hospital (District Women's Hospital). Prayagraj District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Khatri said that the work of making and issuing identity cards for members of the transgender community has already begun. <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=yogi+adityanath&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath </a>in his last speech in the <keyword id="6355187" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Lok-Sabha">Lok Sabha</keyword> said he is committed to the welfare of the state. 
 
In his last address to the lower house of the parliament, Adityanath said many things were going to change in Uttar Pradesh and he will make sure the state becomes corruption-free. 
 
He also praised <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=prime+minister+narendra+modi&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">PM Narendra Modi </a>for his development work since he assumed office and said under Modi, India was prospering. 
 
Adityanath said India will flourish under Modi and he will also follow his footsteps to make Uttar Pradesh a model state.

BJP set to return in UP with 'handsome win aided with pro-incumbency'

<keyword id="6357713" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh">Uttar Pradesh</keyword>’s Assembly elections are just around the corner and in order to become voters’ favourite candidates, political parties have already started doing everything they can do. In a bid to woo voters, Akhilesh Yadav-led UP Government, yet again played the caste card, and gave a nod to include 17 Other Backward Castes in the Scheduled Castes (SC) list. 
 The cabinet meeting, presided by Chief Minister <keyword id="6355031" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Akhilesh-Yadav">Akhilesh Yadav</keyword>, cleared the proposal in this regard. 
 
As per the officials, the proposal that is aimed at wooing the OBCs in the coming elections, will now be sent to the Centre for clearance. 
 
There are 17 sub-castes which the government wants included in the SC category are Kahar, Kashyap, Kewat, Nishad, Bind, Bhar, Prajapati, Rajbhar, Batham, Gaur, Tura, Majhi, Mallah, Kumhar, Dheemar and Machua. 
 Before this, in March 2013, the <keyword id="396713" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh-assembly">Uttar Pradesh Assembly</keyword> had passed a resolution asking the Centre to include 17 castes of the state into the list of Scheduled Castes (SC) category. 
 In the resolution presented by Social Welfare Minister <keyword id="1401615" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Avdhesh-Prasad">Avdhesh Prasad</keyword> and passed by the voice vote in the House, it was stated that in a detailed study by UP SC/ST Research and Training Institute, these 17 castes have been found "deserving" to be included in the list of Scheduled Castes (SC). 
 The <keyword id="6357168" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mulayam-Singh-Yadav">Mulayam Singh Yadav</keyword> government too had passed the resolution in the state Cabinet in February 2004 and had sent recommendation to the Centre for inclusion of these castes in SC list in December 2004.

<ul><li>Every single student in 98 schools failed class X. </li><li>The class XII exams were no better, as all the students in 52 schools failed. </li><li>In all, 6.7 million students were slated to appear for the exams - 3.7 million for the class X exams and 3 million for class XII. </li><li>One million students dropped out of the board exams (Class X and XII exams) in 2018.</li></ul> The results of the <keyword id="1697658" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh-Secondary-Education-Board">Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board</keyword> (UPSEB) were declared in India on April 29th and they were truly abysmal. Every single student in 98 schools failed class X. The class XII exams were no better, as all the students in 52 schools failed. The schools in question were a mix of both government and private schools. Class X and XII are high school equivalents in the Indian education system. "This year strict measures were adopted by the state government to check copying. Apart from it, there is a possibility of only a dozen or so students appearing from such schools so we will decide on the fate of all such educational institutes when the board will reopen," Secretary, UPSEB, Neena Srivastava told the <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/education/dubious-distinction-all-students-fail-in-150-schools/articleshow/63980370.cms">Times of India</a>. She also added that “the board will analyse the results and after that explanation could be sought from principals of these schools in case of a negative report." The board’s office was closed for three days post Sunday. Reports of incessant cheating over the last few years forced the government to take some strict measures this year. Some of these measures <a href="https://www.financialexpress.com/india-news/up-board-exam-2018-cheating-mafia-up-in-arms-as-yogi-aditynaths-crackdown-sanitizes-centres/1065550/">included</a> installing CCTV cameras in examination halls and getting rid of people who used to carry loudspeakers, dictating answers to students. A Special Task Force and local intelligence were also brought in to check activities of the so-called ‘cheating mafia’. Sources within the mafia told <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/agra/-exams-turn-serious-now-with-sanitized-centres/articleshow/62906590.cms">The Times Of India</a> that students had three ‘packages’ available to them to aid them with cheating - students who were equipped with their own cheating material and wrote the papers themselves paid ₹5,000. Those who chose to be dictated the correct answers were charged ₹10,000 and the highest amount of ₹15,000 was charged for students who just marked their attendance and had touts/agents write the exams for them. This crackdown has, however, led to a mass dropout of students planning to take the exams - says the report. Over one million students dropped out of the board exams (Class X and XII exams) in 2018. All in all, around 6.7 million students were slated to appear for the exams - 3.7 million for the class X exams and 3 million for class XII. This year, 50 out of a total of 75 districts were declared ‘sensitive’ by UPSEB. In Ghazipur district, not one student in 17 schools passed. Of these, all students in 11 schools failed to clear the class X exam and in six schools, all students of class XII failed to pass. This was closely followed by the Allahabad district where none of the students in six schools passed. There are even instances of schools in bigger cities like the state capital Lucknow and Agra that had not one student clear the exams.

All the students from 150 schools in India’s most populous state failed their high school exams

<keyword id="1373364" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="UPSEB">UPSEB</keyword> board has declared the result for class X and class XII for the year 2019. 58.06 lakh students had registered for the 10th and 12th class board exams this year with around 31.95 lakh students from High school and 26 lakh students from the Intermediate level registering themselves for the board exams. There were more than 3 crore answer sheets to be checked for the exam that was conducted across 8354 exam centers. The exams started on February 7 for both 10th and 12th class simultaneously. The UP board class X an XII exams got completed on 28th February and March 2 respectively. Class 12th students of the board have recorded a pass percentage of 70%. Gautam Raghuvanshi has topped the Uttar Pradesh Board High School exam with 97.17% marks. Shivam has secured the second rank with 97% marks and Tanuja Vishwakarma has secured the third rank with 96.83% marks. UP 12th class board exam result Tanu Tomar has emerged the topper of the UP Board Class 12 exams with 97.83% marks.
