I had never managed anyone before and didn't know if I wanted to commit to six months.But I decided to give it a shot.Six years later, I'm still here working for Yellowstone's Co-Op Employee Recreation Program.<h2 id="5668e448-8652-4bd3-9029-d8406b774f7e">The perks are unbeatable</h2>As a manager, I get free living accommodations, which has been huge. I <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.tiktok.com/@cricketbbyweave/video/7236606143148068138">started out living</a> in a dorm with roommates, but now I live alone and have a little studio with a double bed, a kitchen, a big wardrobe, and a dining room table.I have an <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.tiktok.com/@cricketbbyweave/video/7343829157811440942">amazing view</a> from my bed of Electric Peak, the tallest peak in the Gallatin Range. The cafeteria has a hotline, cereal, soup, a sandwich bar, and a salad bar. Some days are better than others, but I'm always satisfied because I don't have to grocery shop or spend time cooking.As a manager I work 10-hour days and have a three-day weekend, although I sometimes have to adjust for events. It's been a game changer and I don't think I could ever do a five-day workweek. My salary allows me to live comfortably here and even save a little for traveling in my time off.<h2 id="e495bc4f-8b01-4b9d-ae6a-c76f251038c2">I have a built-in community and social life</h2>Every day, I eat breakfast with everyone in the dining room. It's really fun because the second I wake up, I'm around my friends and community.Each day looks a little different, but our job is to host events for around 5,000 Yellowstone employees. There's almost always programming in the evening, like karaoke, volleyball, movie nights, craft nights, and trivia games. We also like to watch wildlife, go paddle boarding, hike, and visit gateway towns. People who met two weeks ago will move in together or leave to go to a different park. I've had a lot of friends who met here and got married and now have Yellowstone babies which is cool.But for some, it's the complete opposite.A lot of people have "Yellowstone flings," where you know when the season ends you'll go your separate ways. I will sometimes meet someone and hang out with them, and then they leave, and I want to stay. I still think it's a great place to meet people because everyone is like-minded. People want to travel, work seasonally, and live this adventurous life. But it's also really hard and usually doesn't work out unless you're both ready to leave.In general, there's turnover every three to six months, and that's just <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/living-in-vail-colorado-working-ski-resort-2024-3">the nature of seasonal work</a>. So, I have had to say goodbye to one friend group after another. I think that's the hardest part.But I'm also super lucky that I have solid friends who have been here throughout my time, like my boss, who started the same year as me and with whom I've been best friends ever since.<div type="image" title="Josie Weaver under Dunanda Falls" height="810" width="1080" msid="112738648" hostid="261" sizebytes="221588"></div>At 28, it's tough because I'm so happy here, but I also want a family and to settle down. This job and lifestyle have opened my eyes to the places seasonal work can take you, so working in other parks and places in the world has been on my mind recently as well.But one of the great parts about living in Yellowstone is that there is always more to do and more to see. With this amount of land to explore, I am never bored.

Google has announced to continue providing unlimited calls (up to 24 hours) in the free version of its video conferencing app called Meet through March 31, 2021 for <keyword id="665755" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gmail-accounts">Gmail accounts</keyword>. Google in April announced that anyone with a Google account was allowed to create free meetings with up to 100 people with no time limit till September 30 in the pandemic times. Google is now extending that policy and free Meet users can host longer calls through March 2021. "As we look ahead to a holiday season with less travel and important milestones like family reunions, PTA meetings and weddings hosted over video, we want to continue helping those who rely on Meet to stay in touch over the coming months," Samir Pradhan, Group Product Manager, <keyword id="4237083" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="google-meet">Google Meet</keyword>, said in a statement on Tuesday. Google this month introduced a new feature in its Meet app where the users can now see up to 49 people at the same time (including themselves) in the auto and tiled layout options. "Jump on the call without worrying about the holiday wrapping paper mess behind you with background blur, or take trivia night to the next level by seeing 49 of your competitors (and yourself) at the same time. You can even keep score using our collaborative digital whiteboard," Pradhan said. However, access to advanced features for G Suite and G Suite for Education customers, including allowing meetings of up to 250 participants, live-streams of up to 100,000 people within a single domain, and the ability to save meeting recordings to Google Drive will not be there from September 30. Google had allowed free access to Meet's advanced features for all G Suite customers, such as the ability to live stream for up to 100,000 viewers within their domain, free additional Meet licenses for qualifying G Suite customers without any amendments to their current contract and free G Suite Essentials for new customers. These features are available to customers on the "enterprise" tier of G Suite, which costs $25 per user per month. Google Meet will continue unlimited free calls till March 2021

<ul><li><keyword id="6355629" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="google" source="Orion">Google</keyword> has announced that it is ending unlimited <keyword id="790242" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="whatsapp" source="Orion">WhatsApp</keyword> backups for Android users.</li><li>In other words, WhatsApp backups will now count towards your free storage provided by Google.</li><li>Google currently provides users with 15GB of free storage, which counts towards <keyword id="6412891" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="google-drive" source="Orion">Google Drive</keyword>, Photos and Gmail.</li></ul> Google has announced that it is ending unlimited storage for WhatsApp backups for Android users, bringing it on par with other platforms. WhatsApp had introduced Google Drive backups in 2015, making it easier for users to back up their data, including chats, images and videos. The two companies have now confirmed that unlimited Google Drive backups for WhatsApp are ending soon, meaning WhatsApp backups will start counting towards your 15GB free storage limit offered by Google. “WhatsApp backups on Android will soon start counting toward your Google Account cloud storage limit, similar to how WhatsApp backups are handled on other mobile platforms,” Google said in its post. The 15GB free storage limit offered by Google counts towards items stored in Gmail, Google Drive and Google Photos. The new change comes into effect from December 2023 for beta users, so you have a couple of days to sort out your storage, making sure you have enough space in your account. For regular users, the change will come into effect from early next year. “WhatsApp backups on Android will continue to work, as long as you have available space within your Google Account storage. If you hit your storage limit, you’ll need to free up space to resume backups by removing items you do not need,” Google added. Google to stop offering unlimited WhatsApp backups – here’s what it means for you and me

<ul><li>Reliance Jio is asking TRAI to either reduce or remove Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC). </li><li>TRAI had initially planned to remove IUC charges from January 1, 2020 under the Bill and Keep (BAK) regime. </li><li>Airtel and Vodafone Idea were against the move, citing huge costs involved in allowing incoming calls from the Jio network.</li></ul> Reliance Jio approached the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to either reduce or remove Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC). Currently, IUC is charged at 6 paise per minute by the operator on whose network the calls terminate. In October, Reliance Jio announced that it will start charging 6 paise per minute for calls that are made to other networks. This change was made on packs which promised complete free calling earlier. Jio-to-Jio calls however continued to remain free. At the time, Jio noted that this charge would be levied until TRAI removes IUC charges. TRAI had initially planned to remove IUC charges from January 1, 2020 under the Bill and Keep (BAK) regime. However, incumbent operators Airtel and Vodafone Idea were against the move, citing huge costs involved in allowing incoming calls from the Jio network. Last week, TRAI held an open discussion on “Review of Interconnection Usage Charges”. Jio’s representative at the discussion held that since voice calling symmetry has been achieved between Jio and the incumbent operators, there was no need to levy IUC charges anymore. The company <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/jio-urges-trai-for-removal-or-reduction-of-iuc-charges-4645571.html">held</a> that the BAK regime should be implemented as planned from January 1, 2020. The implementation of this regime would bring down IUC charges to zero. Airtel and Vodafone Idea opposed this argument and demanded that IUC charges of 6 paise per minute should be levied for the next three years at least. Reliance Jio alleged that Airtel and Vodafone Idea were diverting their incoming voice call traffic to 2G or 3G networks to inflate their voice call costs. This could hold some merit as we’ve experienced that incoming voice calls on Airtel’s network are routed via 2G, which puts the Jio 4G network on pause temporarily even on a compatible dual 4G VoLTE smartphone. Airtel however denied these allegations. Vodafone Idea, on its part, did not expressly deny this and stated that subscribers were free to port out of their network. Reliance Jio asks TRAI to either reduce or remove IUC charges

<ul><li><keyword id="1675717" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Google-photos">Google Photos</keyword> will no longer be offering free unlimited storage started 1 June 2021.</li><li>Before June, users can upload as many photos as they wish into their Google Photos account since the limit will only kick in next year. </li><li>Those who run out of storage next year can either upgrade to a Google One account or delete the blurry and unnecessary photos from their backup. </li></ul>Google Photos will no longer be offering unlimited free storage to users starting June next year. But, the change only applies after the date. So, if there’s anything you want to back up and get on the cloud — do it <a href="https://blog.google/products/photos/storage-changes/">before 1 June 2021</a>. This undercuts one of the most endearing aspects of Google Photos — knowing that you always had a place to back up your memories. Existing Google One subscribers, who have more than 15GB of storage, will also be subject to the same regulation. If you’re clicking an image with a 12-megapixel lens, the average size of an image will be 3.6 MB. This means you can store 277 photos per GB.
