The meeting comes after Dmitry Polyansky, <keyword id="6358826" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="russia" source="Orion">Russia</keyword>'s deputy ambassador to the UN, requested the world body to convene the emergency meeting to "discuss the military biological activities of the US on the territory of <keyword id="6355101" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ukraine" source="Orion">Ukraine</keyword>". Russia has claimed that "recently found documents" showed components of biological weapons were made in Ukrainian laboratories with funding from the US Department of Defense. In its latest allegation on Thursday, the Russian Defence Ministry said the US was helping Ukraine to develop biological weapons and use virus-carrying birds that migrate through Russia, the BBC reported. The Ministry, however, did not provide any evidence to support the claim. Russia has also said that more than 30 laboratories in Lviv, Kharkiv and Poltava were working with dangerous infectious agents as part of a US-led military biological programme. Meanwhile, the US dismissed the allegations "preposterous", with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki saying in a tweet on Wednesday that it is the "kind of disinformation operation we've seen repeatedly from the Russians over the years in Ukraine and in other countries, which have been debunked". She said "we should all be on the lookout for Russia to possibly use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine, or to create a false flag operation using them. It's a clear pattern". While testifying to the US Senate Intelligence Committee earlier on Thursday, CIA Director William Burns described Russia's accusations as "false flag efforts in the creation of false narratives". In his latest video address on Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that "no chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction were developed" in his country. "I am the President of an adequate country, an adequate nation. And the father of two children. And no chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction were developed on my land. North Korea hits back at the UNSC for calling its space programs threatening

Pakistan warns India 'to be ready for quick retaliation' amid LoC tensions and UNSC membership

To safeguard Indian markets from terrorist financing risks, <keyword id="35210" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="sebi">Sebi</keyword> on Wednesday cautioned registered market intermediaries against Islamic State, Taliban and Al-Qaeda linked organisations and individuals. Sebi has issued circular containing 'United Nations Security Council's Taliban and Al-Qaeda sanctions list' to registered market intermediaries to take note of the updated list and "ensure compliance with the same". The United Nations' Security Council (UNSC) came out with the updated list on January 14 this year.
 In a statement, Sebi advised market intermediaries to ensure compliance with instructions pertaining to UAPA or The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and update the list of individuals or entities as circulated by the regulator and ensure that the accounts are not opened in the name of anyone whose name appears in updated list of individuals.
 Under anti-money laundering guideline and obligation for combating terrorism financing, Sebi has directed all registered intermediaries to ensure that "accounts are not opened in the name of anyone whose name appears in updated list of individuals and entities which are subject to various sanction measures such as freezing of assets/accounts, denial of financial services etc, approved by the security council committee established pursuant to various United Nations' Security Council Resolutions".
 "Registered intermediaries shall continuously scan all existing accounts to ensure that no account is held by or linked to any of the entities or individuals included in the list," it added.

India’s Prime Minister Modi achieves symbolic victory by securing the G20 summit hosting gig in the country’s 75th year of independence

China is worried over India’s successful test of Agni-V intercontinental ballistic missile and is planning to drag the issue to <keyword id="6355833" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="united-nations">United Nations</keyword> Security Council. Responding to it, India said its strategic capabilities were not targeted against any particular country and while it abides by all applicable international obligations, it expects others to do the same.

The UN Security Council has explicit regulations on whether India can develop ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons. China always maintains that preserving the strategic balance and stability in South Asia is conducive to peace and prosperity of regional countries and beyond." 
 
Agni-V was successfully test-fired recently. It is the country's most lethal nuclear-capable inter-continental ballistic missile with a range of over 5,000 km that covers entire China which may also pave the way for user trial of the weapons system and its eventual induction into the Strategic Forces Command (SFC).

India gives befitting reply to China after it questioned Agni-V missile test

Neighbouring country Pakistan has expressed "serious concern" over India's Geospatial Information Regulation, which was released earlier this month, and would require companies to apply for a <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/License-for-satellite-mapping-in-India/articleshow/52185706.cms">license for satellite mapping in India</a>. 
 An official release from <keyword id="3366554" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Pakistans-foreign-affairs-ministry">Pakistan's foreign affairs ministry</keyword> has said that they have sent letters to the United Nations Secretary General and the President of the UN Security Council, while expressing "serious concerns" over the efforts of Indian government to introduce the <keyword id="3359902" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Geospatial-Bill">Geospatial bill</keyword> in the Indian parliament. 
 "In violation of UNSC resolutions, the official map of India has been depicting the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir as part of India which is factually incorrect and legally untenable. Through the passage of this Bill, the Indian government would penalize the individuals and organizations who depict Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory as per the <keyword id="138690" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="United-Nations-Security-Council">United Nations Security Council</keyword> (UNSC) resolutions," the release said.

The ministry has now asked the UN to "uphold the UNSC resolutions and urge India to stop such acts which are in violation of international law." 
 
"We have urged the international community and the United Nations to fulfill their commitment with the people of Jammu and Kashmir by holding an independent and impartial plebiscite under UN auspices." it added. 
 
The controversial bill, Geospatial Information Regulation Bill, says that anyone willing to map India by a satellite or aerial platform will require a licence from government’s "security vetting authority," failing which <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/PoK-and-Arunachal-as-disputed-territories/articleshow/52129850.cms">one could land in jail</a> for seven years along with a hefty fine of up to Rs 1 crore.

India's Geospatial bill is giving Pakistan some 'serious concern'

<keyword id="26778" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="80" keywordseo="underworld">Underworld</keyword> don <keyword id="6357714" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Dawood-Ibrahim">Dawood Ibrahim</keyword>'s location is not known to the government and once he is located, his extradition process will be initiated, <keyword id="6355187" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Lok-Sabha">Lok Sabha</keyword> was informed on Tuesday. 
 
Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said Dawood is an accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case and a red corner notice has been issued against him. 
 "The <keyword id="138690" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="United-Nations-Security-Council">United Nations Security Council</keyword> has also issued a special notice against him. The subject has not been located so far. Extradition process with regard to Dawood Ibrahim would be initiated once the subject is located," he said in reply to a written question. 
 
The government has been maintaining for a long time that Dawood Ibrahim is living in Pakistan with the patronage of Pakistani security establishment. 
 
India had handed over to Pakistan several dossiers on Dawood, India's most wanted fugitive, giving details about his locations in Pakistan. 
 On December 27, 2014, <keyword id="6000" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Home-Minister">Home Minister</keyword> <keyword id="6355121" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Rajnath-Singh">Rajnath Singh</keyword> had said in Lucknow that Dawood is India's most wanted terrorist and India has repeatedly asked Pakistan to hand him over to it. On the same day, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju had said in New Delhi that India asked Pakistan to hand over Dawood as enough evidence had been given to it on the prime accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. 
 
"We have been asking to hand over him to India for a long time. Already many evidence has been given to Pakistan. Pakistan should now act and hand him over to us," Rijiju had said. 
 Chaudhary said that India has made requests in respect of fugitive wanted by Indian authorities in terror cases namely Willy Naruenartwanch to Thailand, <keyword id="2837587" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Usman-Ghani-Khan">Usman Ghani Khan</keyword> to Saudi Arabia, Abdul Wahid Siddibapa to the UAE, Velu alias Boopalan to the UK and <keyword id="2837588" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Mohammad-Hanif-Tiger">Mohammad Hanif Tiger</keyword> to the UK for expeditious extradition of these fugitives.
