The price hike on its electric two-wheeler <keyword id="8648845" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="iqube" source="Orion">iQube</keyword> is effective from Thursday (June 1) following the revision in the central government's FAME II subsidy scheme. The company said it will offer a loyalty benefit programme for the customers of iQube who had made bookings till May 20 for a limited period to ease the cost burden post the revision in FAME II subsidy. TVS Motor hikes prices of EV scooter by ₹17,000 - ₹22,000

<keyword id="108831" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tvs-motor-company" source="Orion">TVS Motor Company</keyword> on Monday reported a 3.58% decline in total sales to 2,42,012 units in December 2022. The company sold 2,50,993 units in December 2021, <keyword id="46156" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="tvs-motor" source="Orion">TVS Motor</keyword> said in a statement. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 10% to 1,61,369 units last month compared to 1,46,763 units in December 2021. <keyword id="6359451" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Motorcycle" source="Orion">Motorcycle</keyword> sales were lower at 1,24,705 units against 1,33,700 units in December 2021. Amazon joins TVS Motor Company to scale EV mobility in India

In a tweet, Aggarwal said that EV fires will continue to happen. "EV fires will happen. Happens in all global products too. EV fires are much less frequent than ICE (internal combustion engine) fires," he said in a tweet, tagging Hormazd Sorabjee, Editor of Autocar India. Earlier this year, Aggarwal called a senior auto journalist "Petrol Media", and mockingly shared pictures of Burnol in response to the criticism he faced on Twitter. Meanwhile, <keyword id="4393078" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ola-electric" source="Orion">Ola Electric</keyword> is also planning to launch its own electric car in a couple of years, and recently displayed a prototype. Amid cases of electric scooters catching fire, a man in Tamil Nadu in April set his Ola e-scooter on fire after being fed up with its poor performance. G. Prithviraj, who is a physiotherapist, had bought Ola scooter in January this year, but he had been fed up with its mileage and poor service by the company. "I had set my Ola scooter on fire as it did not give the mileage as promised by the manufacturer, and the poor service," he had told IANS. EV fires will happen says Ola's Bhavish Agarwal after Tata Nexon EV fire reports

Aviation fuel supplier <keyword id="9546503" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="jio-bp" source="Orion">Jio-bp</keyword> and two-and-three wheeler manufacturer <keyword id="108831" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="tvs-motor-company" source="Orion">TVS Motor Company</keyword> on Tuesday announced that the two entities have agreed to explore the creation of a robust electric vehicles charging infrastructure for both electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the country. Under this proposed partnership, the customers of <keyword id="62356" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="tvs" source="Orion">TVS</keyword> electric vehicles are expected to get access to the widespread charging network of Jio-bp, which is also open to other vehicles. Leveraging the strength of both companies, the said partnership aims at creating a regular AC charging network and a DC fast-charging network. Jio-bp is operating its EV charging and swapping stations under the brand Jio-bp pulse. "With the Jio-bp pulse app, customers can easily find stations nearby and charge their electric vehicles," a joint statement said. TVS Motor Company has made significant strides towards developing new electric mobility products and related technologies.
