<ul><li>Insurtech company <keyword id="7772673" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="insurancedekho" source="Orion">InsuranceDekho</keyword> on Tuesday said it has raised $150 million in its Series A funding.</li><li>Funding was led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and <keyword id="267061" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tvs-capital-funds" source="Orion">TVS Capital Funds</keyword>.</li></ul>Insurtech company InsuranceDekho on Tuesday said it has raised $150 million in its Series A funding, led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and TVS Capital Funds. Touted as the largest-ever series A round by an Indian insurtech company, the fresh funding, a mix of equity and debt, also saw participation from Investcorp, Avataar Ventures and <keyword id="763894" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="leapfrog-investments" source="Orion">LeapFrog Investments</keyword>. "The fundraising will enable us to deploy scalable Insurtech solutions in the areas of data analytics, artificial intelligence, last mile servicing and claims management while keeping customer experience at the core of everything," said <keyword id="16520994" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ish-babbar" source="Orion">Ish Babbar</keyword>, Co-founder and CTO, InsuranceDekho. The company said that it will use the funds to scale up its product and technology functions, expand to new markets, and launch new products in the health and life categories. InsuranceDekho was launched by automobile aggregator CarDekho in 2016. During FY22, InsuranceDekho's revenue surged 61 per cent to Rs 47.91 crore from Rs 29.71 crore in FY21. The company aims to achieve an annualised premium run rate of Rs 3,500 crore by March 2023. "InsuranceDekho has demonstrated a proven ability to bring new-to-insurance channel partners to their platform while empowering them through technology-based solutions and working closely with insurers," said <keyword id="1548602" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="rajat-sood" source="Orion">Rajat Sood</keyword>, managing director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. InsuranceDekho raises $150 mn, largest-ever Series A funding by an insuretech startup

Decacorn fintech firm <keyword id="6357886" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="phonepe" source="Orion">PhonePe</keyword> has received an additional USD 100 million from <keyword id="6375561" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="general-atlantic" source="Orion">General Atlantic</keyword> during its ongoing fundraise round of USD 1 billion at a pre-money valuation of USD 12 billion, the company said on Wednesday. With this fresh funding, the <keyword id="80487" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="walmart" source="Orion">Walmart</keyword> group firm has raised USD 750 million till date. "PhonePe confirms a USD 100 million additional tranche of investment from General <keyword id="44121" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="atlantic" source="Orion">Atlantic</keyword>, a leading global growth equity firm, and its co-investors as part of our ongoing fundraise. General Atlantic initially invested USD 350 million in PhonePe in January 2023," PhonePe said in a statement. General Atlantic has invested USD 450 million in the ongoing fundraise, Ribbit Capital, <keyword id="526777" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tiger-global" source="Orion">Tiger Global</keyword> and TVS Capital Funds USD 100 million and Walmart has infused USD 200 million in the company. The fundraise will also help PhonePe turbo-charge the next wave of growth for UPI payments in India, including UPI lite and Credit on UPI. PhonePe gets additional USD 100 million fund from General Atlantic

New Delhi, Apr 17 () TVS Motor Company on Friday lauded RBI's measures to support the economy amid countrywide lockdown. The RBI has announced a slew of measures to boost liquidity to NBFCs and other financial institutions. It also reduced the reverse repo by 25 basis points to 3.75 per cent. "I strongly support the measures announced by the RBI today to support the economy in this period. It is a sign of their continued efforts to stimulate economic activity and protect jobs," TVS Motor Company Chairman Venu Srinivasan said in a statement. The long-term repo operation for NBFCs and micro-lenders is a good tool to ease liquidity without tinkering with policy rates and Rs 50,000 crore is a substantial amount, he added. "This should restore confidence especially among the MSME sector which provides a significant portion of the country's jobs and is integral to all supply chains," Srinivasan said. That coupled with a cut in the reverse repo rate will incentivise banks to actively lend to those most in need of funds and make it affordable for businesses to borrow, address their working capital needs and get back into action as the country opens, he added. Strongly support measures announced by RBI to revive economy: TVS Motor

Mumbai, Jan 21 () Fairfax Group-backed general insurance start-up Digit Insurance on Tuesday said it has received approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) to raise USD 84 million (about Rs 600 crore) from equity investors A91 Partners, Faering Capital and TVS Capital. 
 The new round of investment will take Digit's total funding to USD 224 million (about Rs 1,600 crore), the company said.
 This is one of the largest funding rounds in the domestic general insurance space, the company, which offers a portfolio of products across motor, travel, property and health insurance, claimed. 
 Within two years of operation, Digit now serves more than 5 million customers and has achieved close to USD 300 million of annualised premium and has 1.2 per cent market share in general insurance industry.
 In addition to the three high quality institutions investing in the company, 72 Digit employees have also invested over USD 4.34 million along with the investors as part of the funding round. 
 The funding round shows the confidence of investors and employees on the business model, Digit Insurance founder and Chairman Kamesh Goyal said. 
 Aditya Parekh, co-founder and managing director of Faering Capital, said Digit is uniquely poised to become a dominant player in the general insurance industry and we are excited to offer our expertise and partner with them. 
 The company has previously raised two rounds of funding amounting to USD 140 million.

Country's second largest software services firm <keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> announced the appointment of <keyword id="4715674" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="d-sundaram">D Sundaram</keyword> as an independent director with effect from July 14, according to PTI news report. The appointment is based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Board, Infosys said in a statement. <keyword id="120337" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sundaram">Sundaram</keyword> is currently the Vice Chairman and MD of TVS Capital Funds Ltd.
