<br /><br />T -Series — a Bollywood production company which releases lavish music videos — had been eyeing on the youtube crown by overtaking PewDiePie for a few months now. <br /><br />Interestingly, T Series recently dethroned PewDiePie as the world’s most subscribed channel. PewDiePie was pulled behind by Tseries last year. The Swedish YouTuber also launched a campaign to get back to his top spot. The battle got interesting when both the channels increased their subscribers through the fight and faced neck-to-neck competition. <br /><br />

The YouTuber has had a contentious relationship with the media - and specifically The Wall Street Journal - after being repeatedly criticized for racist behavior and promoting anti-Semitic YouTube accounts.</p><p>This isn't the first time hackers have taken action in support of PewDiePie. A hacker using the Twitter handle <a href="https://twitter.com/j3ws3r" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@j3ws3r</a> claimed responsibility for accessing more than 100,000 printers across the world and forcing them to print a pro-PewDiePie message. The hacker claims that the goal of the printer hacks are to point out common security flaws within IT networks. A first round of printer hacks took place in November, and over the weekend even more printers began spitting out the message of support.</p><p>While PewDiePie has acknowledged the printer hacks, he has not claimed any involvement in the scheme, nor has he discouraged the hackers. Fix your printer. <br /></strong><br />The fact that printers can be hacked into shouldn’t come as a surprise. Quite honestly, anything that’s on a network connected to the Internet without sufficient security or a firewall, can be exploited if hackers know what they’re looking for — and they generally do. <br /><br />The appeal for PewDiePie was a very mild reminder of what could go wrong if a printer chip is exploited. The hackers explained to the BBC that the printer chips have the potential to cause actual physical damage that could leave a printer defunct. <br /><br />And more than just forcing a printer to execute a specific message, the vulnerabilities in security could be used to capture the data of other documents being printed by the same machine. And, in some cases, even modify that data as it was being printed.<br /><br />The India music and movie channel, T-Series, has been on the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/t-series-will-dethrone-pewdiepie-2018-10?IR=T">verge of overtaking</a> PewDiePie’s as the most subscribed channel on YouTube for over a month now but the independent Swedish vlogger’s fan base is doing all that they can to keep that from happening. <br /><br />This printer hack was only the latest in a series of stunts being pulled to garner support for the independent vlogger who is also known in real life as Felix Kjellberg.<br />

'Seriously. Fix your printer' — PewDiePie fans hack into printers for a second time in a bid to keep T-Series at bay

<ul class="summary-list"><li>MrBeast is set to surpass T-Series as the most subscribed YouTube channel globally.</li><li>He warned fans against hateful behavior, emphasizing it's not a country vs. country battle.</li></ul><p>Things have come full circle for MrBeast, who is on his way to being crowned the owner of the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/mrbeast-jimmy-donaldson-youtube-broken-the-curse-influencer-success-subscribers-2024-5">biggest YouTube channel in the world</a>.</p><p>In 2019, he was <a target="_blank" rel="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/mrbeast-pewdiepie-relationship-history-biggest-youtubers-2022-11#in-2018-donaldson-embarked-on-a-large-billboard-campaign-to-help-the-pewdiepie-channel-gain-subscribers-5"><u>buying up billboards</u></a> in support of his friend and fellow YouTuber Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie. Now, at 262 million subscribers, he's just four million subs <a target="_blank" rel="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/mrbeast-subscriber-battle-with-t-series-youtube-top-spot-donaldson-2024-4"><u>behind the channel of T-Series</u></a>, the Indian music label, and is on track to take over and snatch the top spot in a few weeks.</p><p>But he's warned his fans not to get too aggressive as the competition heats up.</p><p><a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/mrbeast-10-years-before-takes-break-pushes-misery-jimmy-donaldson-2024-5">In a recent interview</a> with journalist and YouTuber Jon Youshaei, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, asked if he had a message for T-Series.</p><p>Donaldson said he wanted to make it "very clear" that his fans shouldn't see this as "this country versus that country."</p><p>He also warned against anyone becoming hateful.</p><p>Back in 2019, the race between T-Series and PewDiePie (real name Felix Kjellberg) to get to 100 million subscribers was eagerly viewed across the platform, but the contest was also marred with controversy.</p><p class="premium">Some of Kjellberg's fans were accused of racism toward T-Series and its supporters, and Kjellberg himself was criticized for some of the lyrics in his diss track "bitch lasagna" containing offensive stereotypes of Indian people.</p><p>Donaldson said he didn't think PewDiePie was responsible for all the controversy, but he said some people in 2019 "got a little racist."</p><p>"So I'm very cognizant of it, which is why I'm not leaning into it too hard," he said.</p><p>He said he has a huge fan base in India, so this shouldn't be seen as "India vs. America."</p><p>"I just want to be the most subscribed-to channel," he said.</p><p>Donaldson referenced how the victory would be big for himself and all the other creators who long for the old days of YouTube and have voiced concerns over the platform's direction for some time.</p><p>"Yes, I have a lot of people helping me, but at the end of the day, I started this channel, I've been doing it for 14 years," he said.</p><p>While it is <a target="_blank" rel="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/youtube-not-netflix-is-big-threat-to-hollywood-analysis-2024-2"><u>thriving from a business standpoint</u></a>, many long-standing creators are <a target="_blank" rel="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/youtube-og-creator-exodus-gaming-jacksepticeye-retire-sean-mcloughlin-n2024-4"><u>questioning their future</u></a> on YouTube, citing burnout, a trend toward consumerism, and <a target="_blank" rel="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/were-entering-a-new-era-of-youtube-2024-3"><u>the platform's constant changes</u></a> as reasons they might soon leave.</p><p>Donaldson taking the top spot would be a win for all independent creators, he said.</p><p>"YouTube runs in my freaking blood," Donaldson said.</p><p>"You know what I mean? And so I do think there's a little bit of symbolism, that it's nice that a creator, a homeborn YouTube creator, is the most subscribed-to channel."</p><p>Still, it is important to "draw the lines in the sand," Donaldson added.</p><p>"I need to make it clear: I love India. I have fans in India. You guys are awesome, and it has nothing to do with that," he said. "A lot of idiots will just start tweeting, 'India sucks. Go crush 'em, Jimmy.' And I'm like, OK, just so you know, it's where a lot of my audience is, but OK."</p>

MrBeast warns fans not to be racist in his battle to win the subscriber war against T-Series

The channel posts high-production Indian music videos that are totally different to PewDiePie's self-referential and occasionally offensive humor. </strong></li><li>Its growing popularity is largely thanks to India's love of homegrown music, and a large chunk of its 1.3 billion population gaining access to the internet for the first time via cheap Android smartphones and generous data plans.</li><li>T-Series president Neeraj Kalyan told Business Insider that YouTube is now the company's third-biggest revenue stream, and that the firm has struck licensing and partnership deals with TikTok, which has a huge Indian audience.</li><li><strong><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/prime?module=article&amp;area=summary">Click here for more BI Prime stories</a>.</strong></li></ul><p>Neeraj Kalyan says the first time he heard of PewDiePie was when his company won a music industry award in Singapore last August.</p><p>His firm, a 36-year-old Indian record label called T-Series, was being fêted for passing the 50 million subscriber mark on its dedicated YouTube channel.</p><p>The one channel ahead of T-Series? PewDiePie, who had 65 million subscribers. PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg, is 28 years old and the highest paid star on YouTube.</p><p>He has risen to fame by filming himself playing video games alongside humorous commentary, but that fame has been marred by controversy over the occasional tasteless prank and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/pewdiepie-anti-semitism-jokes-controversy-explained-2017-2?r=US&amp;IR=T">remarks referencing Nazis and anti-Semitism</a>.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>His name came up again a few months later in 2018 when Kalyan took a meeting in Stockholm, handing in his business card at the hotel.</p><p>"The lady at the Sheraton in Stockholm screamed, "You are from T-Series! You're beating PewDiePie! PewDiePie is still gaining subscribers too, just more slowly, and sits at 98 million.</p><p>T-Series' victory was huge news in the annals of internet culture wars, but it also marked something much bigger: the world's biggest democracy coming online.</p><h2>T-Series is an Indian entertainment powerhouse, posting popular music videos to YouTube</h2><p>To the Western eye, T-Series' YouTube channel is completely different to the rest of the internet.</p><p>Its page is populated with stylised, colourful, and seemingly cheesy music videos, designed to appeal to a mass audience. There is no reference to memes or any sort of internet culture.</p><p>It completely avoids much of what makes a largely US-influenced internet tick, catering entirely to mainstream Indian interests. Some of the music videos tie into movies produced by T-Series, and cost up to $350,000 to make.</p><p>This video ties into an upcoming T-Series movie, "Saaho." Aesthetically, it's James Bond meets Disney:</p><p>It is this which baffled PewDiePie's fans, who revelled in his deeply self-referential, niche, and very internetty humour. His videos are so laced with cross-references that offensive jokes and languages are difficult to distinguish from obscure callbacks and references to memes.</p><p>Take PewDiePie's "diss tracks" about T-Series, released in the heat of the battle for subscribers and intended to play up the competition. One lyric, from the track "Bitch Lasagna," reads: "<span>Bobs or vegana, whichever will it be?</span>".</p><p>The line looks meaningless on its own, but is an apparent reference to Indian men misspelling "boobs" and "vagina" online, which originally went viral on Reddit.</p><p>In typical PewDiePie fashion, the lyric treads the line between amusing insider reference and plain offensive.</p><p>Kalyan says the two channels have totally different audiences.</p><p>"We were never in that race," he says. "But he's great. We wish him all the best - the kinds of things he does, we're not into that. It's a different audience altogether, there's no competition at all."</p><p>Relations aren't quite so friendly under the surface.</p><p>In April, T-Series won an injunction from the High Court in Delhi against PewDiePie to stop him uploading his diss tracks about T-Series to YouTube. T-Series claimed the videos, including "Bitch Lasagna" and a second video called "Congratulations," were "racist, inflammatory and hateful."</p><p>The judge, Justice Jayanth Nath, agreed and ordered the removal of the videos, describing them as "abusive, vulgar and also racist in nature."</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>Neither "Bitch Lasagna" nor "Congratulations" are viewable via YouTube India, according to tests run by Business Insider using a VPN. <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/PewdiepieSubmissions/comments/bbyh1z/bitch_lasagna_and_congratulations_are_now/">Commenters on Reddit have said</a> that both videos have been unavailable since April,&#xa0; the date of the High Court order, and complained that T-Series couldn't take a joke.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>According to subsequent filings seen by Business Insider, the pair settled the matter in July 2019, although both videos remain unavailable inside India.</p><p>The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed, and T-Series did not respond to a request for clarification. The settlement has not been previously reported.</p><h2>T-Series started out recording devotional music to cassette tapes</h2><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>T-Series was founded in the 1980s by Gulshan Kumar, the son of a fruit juice vendor. The firm originally sold cassettes featuring devotional music and eventually became a record label giant with more than 3,500 employees.</p><p>According to a BBC profile, Kumar spotted an opportunity for selling religious music as ageing Hindu devotees couldn't read hymns and chants from books thanks to poor eyesight. He hired singers to record the chants, and then sold the tapes at a cheap price.</p><p>"The transition from cassette manufacturing to India''s largest music label and very successful studio, with global presence, has really not been a very easy task," says Kalyan of the firm's evolution. "It has been a long journey for us. And over the past 15 years, the content industry has seen a kind of tectonic shift primarily due to the advent in technology."</p><p>Kumar was <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/feb/11/filmnews.bollywood">assassinated in 1997 by a hit squad,</a> and his son Bhavesh took over the running of the business.</p><p><em><strong>Read more: </strong><a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/tiktok-stars-magic-singh-pavan-henna-profile-2019-4?r=US&amp;IR=T">These new TikTok influencers have millions of fans and are hustling for a fraction of the price of YouTubers</a></em></p><p>Through the 2000s, T-Series wrestled with the same issues as other major record labels - namely piracy. It found one reliable source of money in licensing its songs for ringtones in 2004. "Indians loved any sort of spiritual tones or devotional tones," says Kalyan. "I've seen people who won't change their phone wallpaper because it's been lucky for them."</p><p>Then came the firm's first encounter with YouTube - in Delhi's High Court.</p><p>"We were in litigation with YouTube, we had sued them for infringement of copyright," Kalyan says. "That was still at the time of cassettes. They claimed they were a neutral platform, so we went to court. We were the first company able to obtain an injunction from the [Indian] high court against YouTube."</p><p>This was 2007, and YouTube faced multiple lawsuits from rights holders around the world who saw their original content, usually licensed at lucrative rates, ripped and uploaded for free to the video site.</p><p>After years of litigation, T-Series' parent firm saw "good sense" and <a href="https://www.medianama.com/2011/02/223-youtube-music-label-t-series-reach-out-of-court-settlement/">came to a licensing agreement</a> with YouTube in late 2010. Prior to the suit, the firm had no presence on YouTube.</p><p>The pair agreed to a three-year revenue-share deal, splitting the money that came in through the ads on T-Series' videos. Google paid an advance upfront, which it planned to make back through its share of the revenue.</p><p>"The most interesting part was we recouped that advance in just 9 months," Kalyan says. "That was the kind of growth we experienced. It became a cash cow."</p><h2>T-Series has benefited from a huge chunk of India coming online in the last three years</h2><p>The turning point for T-Series and the wider smartphone industry was 2016, when a new Indian telecoms brand called Jio launched. Owned by a major incumbent, Reliance, Jio offered cheap data and smartphones that brought some of India's 1.3 billion-strong population online for the first time.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>"99% of India's [mobile] population has Android smartphones," says Neil Shah, an analyst at Counterpoint Research. "So YouTube is a default app. Most users have warmed up to YouTube to consume content - not just video, but music. So they're going to YouTube rather than Spotify."</p><p>According to <a href="https://imrbint.com/images/common/ICUBE%E2%84%A2_2019_Highlights.pdf">Kantar statistics from December 2018</a>, half a billion people in India are now online, driven primarily by rural growth. That is still less than half the country's total population.</p><p>Kalyan notes the impact. "In 2016, there was mobile internet available in tier one or tier two cities, but now it's in tier three to tier five cities and villages, which had never experienced internet," he says. "So now the consumer is excited, and he's experimenting with everything, and it's resulted in an increase in consumption."<span style="font-weight: 400;"></span></p><p>Here's how T-Series has steadily grown its subscribers after 2016, per data supplied to Business Insider by Tubular Labs:</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>Most Western YouTubers <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/the-worlds-biggest-youtube-stars-are-seeing-a-massive-slowdown-2017-12?r=US&amp;IR=T">are struggling to maintain growth</a>, by contrast.</p><p>Now YouTube is T-Series' third-biggest revenue stream, after licenses to video platforms and TV channels. The music label makes money solely through ads, though Kalyan won't disclose how much.</p><p>The label has seven people who look after its various YouTube channels - 28 in total, covering different regional languages and interests - and another two or three who post the videos to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.</p><h2>The future is TikTok and original content</h2><p>After the success of YouTube and the explosion of mobile in India, T-Series is exploring other emerging platforms, Kalyan says.&#xa0;</p><p>The company has forged deals with short-form viral video app TikTok, licensing its music for people to use in videos. India is one of TikTok's biggest markets, with <a href="https://tech.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/internet/tiktok-wants-more-diverse-creators-on-path-to-monetisation/69715867">a reported 120 million monthly active users</a> in the country. Kalyan says T-Series proactively works with TikTok influencers to help its songs go viral on the platform.</p><p>"We work with their teams, advise them on what's new, and what content we have," he says. "Our artists who are very established work with unknown influencers but have some following, they make a clip of 20 seconds integrating our music into whatever they're doing. Be it action, some dance. After that, it goes viral. And along with that virality, our music which has been synced with that clip also goes viral."</p><p>T-Series has also <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/startups/newsbuzz/tiktok-owner-to-start-music-service-secures-rights-from-t-series-times-music/articleshow/69421732.cms">reportedly signed on for TikTok's rumoured streaming service</a>. But Kalyan ruled out T-Series launching its own dedicated content streaming service, such as Disney+.</p><p>"We would like to remain focused only on the content," he says. "That is our strength. The next step for us is films, which we've been able to master over the last three years. Before we used to moonlight with one or two films, but now we have 20 big-scale Bollywood films every year. We don't want to be in the space of launching our own platform, we don't want to compete with our own licenses."<span style="font-weight: 400;"></span></p><p>It's likely that the T-Series vs. PewDiePie battle is simply the first of many consequences of a 1.3 billion population coming online. A look at the top YouTube channels by subscribers shows at least seven Indian channels in the top 100, including SET India and Zee Music. That might mean further culture clashes as a hugely diverse base of Indian users begin using US platforms more frequently.</p><p>It's perhaps the first time a new online population threatens the Americanized focus of the internet. The only other internet population big enough to potentially shape global internet culture in this way is China, but that's been walled off in its own online ecosystem for years. <br />The Saiman Says channel blew up in November last year when Waghdhar responded to MrBeast’s video by creating a parody video where he <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5z_ypXULQA">bought up</a> billboards advertising T-Series in India.<br /><br /><strong>PewDiePie Ban<br /></strong><br />Last week, the Delhi High Court <a href="http://iprmentlaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Super-Cassettes-vs-Pew-Die-Pi.pdf">issued</a> an order for YouTube to remove those two songs from the platform categorising them to be ‘defamatory and disparaging’ as well as ‘racist, inflammatory and hateful’.<br /><br />

A Change.org petition is also making the rounds looking to ban the Swedish vlogger for his ‘white supremist’ content. Indian vlogger travelled halfway around the world to watch PewDiePie banned video

<ul class="summary-list"><li><keyword id="2938280" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="pewdiepie">PewDiePie</keyword>'s diss track "Coco" has been taken down by <keyword id="10879" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="YouTube">YouTube</keyword>.</li><li>The song was made in reaction to the kids' channel <keyword id="8985586" type="AGENCY" weightage="60" keywordseo="cocomelon">Cocomelon</keyword> approaching his subscriber count.</li><li>YouTube said PewDiePie's video violated its child-safety and harassment <keyword id="35497" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="policies">policies</keyword>.</li></ul><p>YouTube's biggest single creator, PewDiePie, has had one of his videos taken down by the platform for violating its policies on child safety and harassment.</p><p>PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, had posted a music video filled with playground insults - known as a diss track - toward a children's nursery rhyme channel called Cocomelon.</p><p>Cocomelon had been creeping up on Kjellberg's 109 million subscribers - it currently sits at 105 million - which opened up the opportunity for a diss track, titled "Coco."</p><p>Several children appeared in the video, which included the destruction of a watermelon, and lines such as "f--- everything you love, and most of all, f--- you," and "your audience is just a bunch of motherf---ing virgins."</p><p>Kjellberg clarified in a video that the children were provided with a clean version to mime to while they were filming, and that their parents were all happy for them to participate.</p><p>In response to a fan who said he was disappointed that the PewDiePie video was taken down, Team YouTube said the video violated two policies: <a href="https://t.co/n10mouwzhz?amp=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">harassment</a> and <a href="https://t.co/yHHlYizdu5?amp=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">child safety</a>, for "looking like it was made for kids but containing inappropriate content," including violence.</p><p>"We allow criticism and also <keyword id="10793133" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="diss-tracks">diss tracks</keyword> in some cases, but with both policies in mind, this video crossed the line," they said.</p><p>Some onlookers of the situation are happy the video has been removed, believing the track to be inappropriate. However, many supporters of Kjellberg see it as contradictory and hypocritical of YouTube which specifically omits diss tracks in its policies, citing them as "scripted satire."</p><p>Several people noted the video was not meant for children in the first place.</p><p>"Deleting pewds vid because it looks like it was targeted to kids, but has profanity?" <a href="https://twitter.com/VinnyHaw/status/1362665792706392080" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said one Twitter user</a>. "You have the YT kids app for this very reason. Children can view content targeted towards them. Pewds hit the 'not for kids' button as he uploaded this."</p><p>Kjellberg's fans often discuss how they believe <a href="https://www.insider.com/company-claims-pewdiepie-video-revenue-celine-dion-recorder-2020-11" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube treats him more harshly than other creators</a>. For example, in October, a glitch that affected Kjellberg's channel resulted in his videos and profile not appearing in YouTube's search. This led to speculation that <a href="https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/pewdiepie-finally-responds-to-youtube-shadowban-glitch-1440064/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kjellberg had been "shadowbanned"</a> - when a user's content is blocked from viewers without their knowledge. <a href="https://twitter.com/YouTubeGaming/status/1319398661990776840" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube said it was an error</a>, and the bug was fixed after a day.</p><h2>This isn't the first time PewDiePie has released diss tracks</h2><p>Cocomelon's rapidly increasing audience reminded Kjellberg's audience of his old feud with T-Series, the channel of an Indian record label, when they were both racing to hit 100 million subscribers in late 2018.</p><p>T-Series was quickly rising the ranks to challenge his title of the most subscribed-to non-YouTube-owned channel in the world (YouTube Music had more subscribers than both of them at the time) - a crown Kjellberg had held since 2013.</p><p>PewDiePie vs. T-Series quickly became a meme, as PewDiePie's friends and fans urged the internet to "Subscribe to PewDiePie." Other large creators such as MrBeast, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye showed their support and used the slogan, and PewDiePie saw a massive boom in his already massive fanbase.</p><p>Kjellberg released two diss tracks against T-Series: "b---- lasagna" during the contest, and then "Congratulations" <a href="http://businessinsider.com/pewdiepie-t-series-youtube-battle-100-million-subscribers-2019-5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">when T-Series eventually overtook him</a>.</p><div type="image" title="bitch lasagna" height="778" width="1037" msid="81111255" hostid="261"></div><p>Critics at the time said the tracks were offensive, and the discussion appeared in the Delhi High Court, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/pewdiepie-and-t-series-settle-youtube-legal-dispute-2019-8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">where a judge ruled that the song</a> was "abusive," "vulgar," and "racist." Even some of PewDiePie's fans admitted <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/PewdiepieSubmissions/comments/a3g25y/did_anyone_realise_pewds_was_accidentally_racist/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">on his subreddit</a> that some of the lyrics are problematic.</p><p>Kjellberg also had to publicly speak out against the meme and urge his fans not to use it anymore when the words were uttered by the gunman who murdered 51 people at a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2019.</p><p>Despite the controversy surrounding the tracks, the message spread to the wider YouTube community because it emphasized a theory many creators have long been concerned about - that the platform is becoming a place where corporations are favored over individual creators.</p><p>To highlight how massive this track is, and how widespread the battle became, the 870,000 dislikes were barely a drop in the ocean compared to the 11 million likes.</p><h2>'I saw this as ending the meme'</h2><p>In a video called "<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWPWrz7pIz4" target="_blank" rel="noopener">I Love Kids</a>" posted on February 17, Kjellberg explained that he had released "Coco" as a "finale" to the pretend rivalry between his channel and Cocomelon.</p><p>"I saw this as ending the meme," he said. "I am not going to continue with it because 1) it wouldn't be funny and 2) I don't actually care about Cocomelon."</p><p>He added that he didn't want the situation to get "out of control like last time," and the chapter was now closed.</p><p>Kjellberg has not publicly responded to the track being taken down by YouTube. Insider has contacted his reps for comment.</p>

In 2018, PewDiePie released <em>Bitch Lasagna </em>— originally titled <em><keyword id="17191" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="T-series">T-Series</keyword> Diss Track — </em>when Bollywood channel T-Series was at the helm of taking away his crown as the most subscribed channel on the streaming platform. <br /><br />The track, while dissing T-Series, was accused for being very racially discriminating against Indians in general.<br /><br />The two sides battled it out for months, before T-Series came <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/pewdiepie-appears-to-admit-defeat-to-t-series-in-youtube-music-video-roasting-the-bollywood-channel/articleshow/68670758.cms">out ahead</a> as the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/bollywood-music-channel-t-series-beat-out-pewdiepie-after-a-months-long-battle-to-become-the-first-youtube-channel-to-reach-100-million-subscribers/articleshow/69586720.cms">most subscribed</a> channel on the platform.<br /><br />Meanwhile, YouTube was criticised for its lax approach to harassment.
