The company's first car in India is set to be launched while plans for another are underway and a market debut is on the cards. In an exclusive conversation with Business Insider, Himanshu Patel, founder of Triton EV, said that the company is in discussions to list in the US. It can go upto 700 miles on a single charge. But Patel promises it will be cheaper in India. “But the Model H we are launching in India, is a vehicle made in India. With the Model H, Patel is competing with the likes of Audi, Mercedes and more, he said. “We have built a car that suits India instead of just making another car,” said Patel. The car comes with a solar panelled roof, which offsets the air conditioner usage as well, which is a great advantage, as per Patel, for Indians who have to wait for hours in traffic at times. But the Model H isn’t where they stop. Patel is accelerating his plans for the India market, where Elon Musk’s Tesla is also set to debut, this year. Triton has plans to launch their N4 model later this year, which will rival the likes of Toyota, Nissan and others. They are also in talks with various entities for supply of armoured vehicles, making use of their one-way glass bullet proof technology. And for all of this, Triton is pumping $1.2 billion into India over the next five years. Outside of the US, India will be the company’s first manufacturing hub. The company's <a target="_blank" href="https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/stock-market-news-today-spx-nvidia-price-outlook-record-high-2024-2">journey from $1 trillion to $2 trillion</a> took a mere nine months — and it's now worth $2.35 trillion, behind only Microsoft and Apple.That growth story has a simple explanation: Nvidia has played a crucial role in supplying the chips needed to power the generative-AI revolution, making it fundamental to the ambitions of Sam Altman, Mark Zuckerberg, and everyone else chasing AI riches.So, it's little wonder blowout results are being anticipated as Nvidia prepares to share its first-quarter earnings after the bell on Wednesday. But rivals are seeking to take on CUDA now, too, in a bid to unseat Nvidia.The <a target="_blank" href="https://www.ft.com/content/320f35de-9a6c-4dbf-b42f-9cdaf35e45bb">Financial Times</a> reported that tech companies looking at alternatives to Nvidia's CUDA had been exploring <a target="_blank" href="https://openai.com/index/triton/">Triton</a>, software released by OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, in 2021.If they succeed in using Triton, they could be one step closer to a future in which alternatives to Nvidia's chips are easier to use.Pulling off these initiatives in a way that really threatens Nvidia remains some way off. But investors will anxiously anticipate how Nvidia responds at a time when growth is appearing to slow.The stock has almost doubled this year, although there have been wobbles on the way, such as a 10% one-day slide after a wider market panic.Nvidia is set to hold its crown for now, but Huang knows rivals are coming for its AI throne.

The project to commission a PSA oxygen plant in each district of the country was executed while dealing with complex challenges of hilly areas, islands and territories with difficult terrain. Around 7,000 personnel have been trained to monitor the operation and maintenance of these plants. These plants will be monitored with an embedded Internet of Things (IoT) device to check real time functioning and performance through a consolidated web portal. PM Modi to dedicate 35 PSA oxygen plants across 35 states and UTs on Thursday

The report also highlights that there was a 29.62% surge in the number of offers given by companies to SRCC students despite COVID-19. The top-recruiting companies were McKinsey &amp; Company, Bain Capability Network, Dalberg Advisors, Deutsche Bank, Citibank, Accenture Strategy, Fischer Jordan. The internship season 2020-21 also recorded a significant result with the highest stipend offered was a whopping ₹1,50,000 per month, while the average stipend offered was ₹34,000 per month. Companies like Hindustan Unilever, DE Shaw, EY were top internship recruiters this season who extended offers across various domains. “Though we were a bit sceptical initially due to the economic recession, our fears turned out to be unfounded as the number of placement recruiters and the number of offers reached an all-time high. Moreover, as the competition for hiring the best talent intensifies, many recruiters have resorted to the PPO route, leading to 22 PPOs in this season, a milestone in itself.” said Ansh Goyal, Chief Secretary of SRCC’s Placement cell. There have been a ton of announcements and product unveilings already, and one area that’s seen several new launches is laptops. At CES 2022, brands including HP, Asus, Dell, Acer and more have announced a series of gaming laptops, ultrabooks, and chromebooks. The HP Elite Dragonfly G3 is a 13.5-inch Windows 11 business laptop. The HP Elite x360 1040 G9 and EliteBook 1040 G9 are thin and light ultrabooks with a 5MP camera. HP also unveiled the Elite Dragonfly Chromebook Enterprise for business, and the Elite Dragonfly Chromebook. In the gaming segment, HP upgraded the OMED 16 and OMEN 17 laptops with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs and 12th Gen Intel core processors. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Dell" comment="subhead" text="Dell">Dell</cmsannotation> Dell showed off its premium XPS 13 Plus laptop with an all new design and a haptic touchpad. It features larger keys with no space between them, and the laptop is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel P-series processors. Dell had more announcements in the gaming segment with new Alienware X14, X15 and X17 laptops supporting up to Intel’s Core i7 processor and NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti GPU. It also announced the Alienware M17 R5 Ryzen Edition with up to the AMD Ryzen 9 6980 HX processor, and NVIDIA 3060 GPU. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Asus" comment="subhead" text="Asus">Asus</cmsannotation> Asus was all about gaming at CES 2022 with new models in its ROG Zephyrus and Flow series. ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 is a dual-screen gaming laptop with a 16-inch primary screen and a 14.1-inch touchscreen. This laptop supports up to AMD Ryzen 9 6900HZ processor and NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti graphics card. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and G15 and the ROG Flow X13 are AMD-powered laptops that can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Acer" comment="subhead" text="Acer">Acer</cmsannotation> Acer at CES 2022 took the wraps off new Chromebooks and gaming laptops. It announced the Chromebook Spin 513, Chromebook 315, and Chromebook 314. The Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 1380 processor, while the Chromebook 315 and Chromebook 314 feature the Intel Celeron processors. Acer also announced the Predator Triton 500 SE, Predator Helios 300 gaming laptops with the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series laptop GPU. The Acer Nitro 5 also comes with AMD Ryzen 6000 models. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="MSI" comment="subhead" text="MSI">MSI</cmsannotation> MSI had an extensive CES 2022 briefing with several new gaming and creator laptops. The very long list includes the MSI Stealth GS77 and GS66 with 17-inch and 15.6-inch displays, Intel Core i9-12900H processor, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU. The MSI Raider GE76 and GE66 are the more good looking offerings with powerful specifications. Then there’s the MSI Vector GP76 and GP66 laptops with Intel Core i9 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU. MSI also announced the Katana GF76 and GF66 gaming laptops which are the most affordable from the company, and the Crosshair 15 along with the Ubisoft Rainbow Six Extraction-themed Crosshair 17 laptop. The Pulse GL76 and GL66 (2022) are MSI’s budget offerings, while the Creator Z17 and Z16P are creator-dedicated laptops. These are the highlights of the PM Mitra Yojana, as revealed in the cabinet briefing on Oct 6: According to Goyal, the scheme is divided into two parts – development capital support and competitive incentive support. Under the development capital support option, the government will offer to pour in 30% of the total project cost, which is estimated to be around ₹1,700 crore per park. This brings the government’s contribution to ₹500 crore per park. Goyal further clarified that greenfield parks will get ₹500 crore support, while brownfield parks will get ₹200 crore only. Greenfield parks refer to those which will be built up from scratch. The term brownfield refers to the expansion or improvement of existing projects. The second option is competitive incentive support, which aims to provide support to those firms which are the first-movers in these textile parks. This scheme is first-come first-serve for the firms which want to reap the benefits will have to approach the government or the textile park. Each unit will have to employ a minimum of 100 people to be eligible. Eligible units will get an incentive of ₹10 crore per annum for the first three years. India’s plan for new textile parks includes a ₹10 crore incentive each year for units with 100 employees

The private sector lender saw a 127% growth in its credit card spends in August, compared to last year. Compared to July, the preceding month, however, the growth seemed tepid as overall credit card spends grew just 4%. <ul class="summary-list"><li>The Navy is working on a variety of unmanned platforms to augment the fleet's operations.</li><li>Recent developments with its unmanned aerial systems reflect the major role those system could play in the Navy's future fleet.</li></ul>In December, the <keyword id="10959315" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="mq-25">MQ-25</keyword> Stingray successfully <a href="https://www.boeing.com/features/2020/12/mq-25-takes-off-with-aerial-refueling-store.page" target="_top">made</a> its first flight with an aerial refueling store, carrying a <a href="https://www.cobhammissionsystems.com/air-to-air-refuelling/hose-and-drogue-systems/buddy-refuelling-pods/" target="_top">Cobham ARS</a> under its left wing for about 2.5 hours.The flight was intended to test the drone's aerodynamics with the same system used by the Navy's F/A-18s for aerial-refueling missions.Capt. Chad Reed, the Navy's Unmanned Carrier Aviation program manager, <a href="https://boeing.mediaroom.com/news-releases-statements?item=130780" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> the test was "one big step closer in our evaluation of how the MQ-25 will fulfill its primary mission in the fleet - aerial refueling."The MQ-25 milestone was followed in February by a test in which an unmanned resupply drone <a href="https://www.navy.mil/Press-Office/News-Stories/Article/2511732/naval-air-force-atlantic-demonstrates-uas-prototype/" target="_top">delivered</a> spare parts to the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford.The Navy has <a href="https://news.usni.org/2021/03/18/lawmakers-question-who-will-shepherd-navys-future-unmanned-fleet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">struggled</a> with its unmanned platforms, but recent developments show it is getting serious about unmanned aerial systems and reflect the major role those system could have in the future fleet.<h2>The first carrier-based drone</h2><div type="image" title="Navy RQ-21A Blackjack drone" height="1500" width="2000" msid="81591349" hostid="261"></div>The Stingray is not the Navy's first drone. Smaller models like the ScanEagle, RQ-21 Blackjack, and MQ-8 Fire Scout have seen service on various Navy vessels, while versions of the MQ-4C Triton, which is similar to the Stingray in size, have been flown by the Navy from land for at least three years.But none of those drones have operated on carriers. The Navy began searching for a carrier-based drone in 2006 with the Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike program.The program originally called for a drone with strike and reconnaissance capabilities, but the increased range of anti-ship defenses and an expected shortage of pilots in the future led the Navy to shift the program's focus to aerial refueling.The idea was sound: An unmanned aerial-refueling system would free up pilots and other carrier aircraft for combat duties and extend the range of a carrier's air wing by almost 50%.By 2013, Northrop Grumman's X-47B demonstrator had successfully taken off from and landed on USS George H.W. Bush. Despite being the frontrunner, Northrup Grumman withdrew the X-47B from consideration in 2017 due to concerns that it could not be repurposed in a cost-effective manner.<div type="image" title="Navy Boeing MQ-25 refueling drone tanker" height="765" width="1400" msid="81591351" hostid="261"></div>Of the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/us-navy-carrier-based-drone-race-mq-25-stingray-2018-4#general-atomics-3" target="_top">three designs</a> remaining, the Navy selected Boeing's on April 30, 2018. A year later, the Stingray made its first flight.December's test was the first time the Stingray carried the aerial-refueling technology that is central to its mission. Future tests will involve extending and retracting the ARS hose, as well as flights with F/A-18s. Deck-handling tests aboard carriers are also being planned."What we're focusing on is launching, landings, moving it around on the deck, bringing it up, taking it down in the hangar bay - how do we position those assets and how can we support the air wing?" Adm. James Kilby, deputy chief of naval operations for war-fighting requirements and capabilities, said of the MQ-25 at a House Armed Services subcommittee hearing on Thursday.The <a href="https://www.naval-technology.com/projects/mq-25-stingray-unmanned-aerial-refuelling-aircraft/" target="_top">Stingray</a> will be able to carry 15,000 pounds of fuel about 500 nautical miles. It will operate alongside and refuel EA-18G Growler electronic-warfare aircraft as well as F/A-18 and F-35C fighters.The MQ-25 is expected to reach initial operating capability by 2024. While the Navy has ordered seven for testing, it intends to have as many as 72 in service. The Navy also plans to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/navy-announces-new-warrant-officer-program-for-mq25-refueling-drone-2020-12" target="_top">recruit</a> 450 new warrant officers over the next six to 10 years to operate MQ-25s.With the December tests, the MQ-25 has logged more than 30 hours of training flights.<h2>Blue Water <keyword id="435993" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Unmanned-aircraft">Unmanned Aircraft</keyword> System</h2><div type="image" title="Navy unmanned aerial system UAV drone resupply" height="1351" width="2000" msid="81591352" hostid="261"></div>The Navy's plans for unmanned systems do not end at aerial refueling.On February 21, a Blue Water Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) delivered "light-weight logistical equipment" to the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford.The drone, built by Texas-based aerospace company <a href="https://skyways.com/#usecases" target="_top">Skyways</a>, is capable of traveling 500 miles and carrying 30-pound loads.Despite the small cargo, Capt. John Bush, director of aircraft material and engineering for Naval Air Forces Atlantic, <a href="https://www.navy.mil/Press-Office/News-Stories/Article/2511732/naval-air-force-atlantic-demonstrates-uas-prototype/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">called</a> the test "a first step in revolutionizing logistics support to maximize operational availability and lethality for these critical capital assets."The Navy has said that up to 90% of the logistical issues that move ships into non-mission-capable or partially mission-capable status can be fixed with components weighing less than 50 pounds.SH-60 Seahawk helicopters or V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft currently make such deliveries, but unmanned aircraft are seen as a cost-effective alternative.<h2>The unmanned future</h2><div type="image" title="Navy MQ-8B Fire Scout drone helicopter" height="1429" width="2000" msid="81591354" hostid="261"></div>Of course, the Navy's drones are not just for logistics. Most serve an important role by carrying out intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, and some, like the <keyword id="10959314" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="mq-8b">MQ-8B</keyword>, can actually be armed with missiles."There is some payload capacity in [the MQ-25] that we think has great promise for us, so I think initially we would transition to ISR" before moving to more complex electronic-attack or strike missions, Kilby said Thursday."We think we could get upward of 40% of the aircraft in an air wing that are unmanned and then transition beyond that," Kilby said.Navy submarines <a href="https://seapowermagazine.org/admiral-submarine-launched-uas-proving-awesome-capability/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">are also working on</a> using drones to aid targeting. Since subs avoid launching torpedoes at periscope depth to minimize the risk of being spotted, drones could ensure long-range torpedo attacks hit their mark.The service reached initial operational capability with a sub-launched unmanned aerial system in September, Rear Adm. Dave Goggins, the Navy's program executive officer for submarines, <a href="https://seapowermagazine.org/admiral-submarine-launched-uas-proving-awesome-capability/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> during a Naval Submarine League webinar in November, calling it "a pretty awesome capability to provide to the fleet."Completely <a href="https://fas.org/sgp/crs/weapons/R45757.pdf" target="_top">unmanned ships and underwater vehicles</a> tasked with logistics, anti-submarine warfare, and mine-clearing missions are also in development. The Navy <a href="https://media.defense.gov/2020/Dec/10/2002549918/-1/-1/0/SHIPBUILDING%20PLAN%20DEC%2020_NAVY_OSD_OMB_FINAL.PDF/SHIPBUILDING%20PLAN%20DEC%2020_NAVY_OSD_OMB_FINAL.PDF" target="_top">plans</a> to have 143 unmanned vessels in service by 2045.<div type="image" title="xq 58a valkyrie kratos.JPG" height="1462" width="2200" msid="81591357" hostid="261"></div>The Marine Corps' <a href="https://www.hqmc.marines.mil/Portals/142/Docs/CMC38%20Force%20Design%202030%20Report%20Phase%20I%20and%20II.pdf?ver=2020-03-26-121328-460" target="_top">Force Design 2030</a> report also calls for a 50% increase in unmanned-aerial-vehicle squadrons. The Corps <a href="https://news.usni.org/2020/03/10/marines-ditch-mux-ship-based-drone-to-pursue-large-land-based-uas-smaller-shipboard-vehicle" target="_top">hop</a><a href="https://news.usni.org/2020/03/10/marines-ditch-mux-ship-based-drone-to-pursue-large-land-based-uas-smaller-shipboard-vehicle" target="_top">es</a> to acquire "a family of systems" of different sizes and capabilities to meet its drone requirements.With development underway on unmanned combat aircraft like the Kratos <a href="https://www.kratosdefense.com/systems-and-platforms/unmanned-systems/aerial/tactical-uavs" target="_top">XQ-58 Valkyrie</a> and the Boeing <a href="http://www.boeing.com/defense/airpower-teaming-system/" target="_top">Airpower Teaming System</a>, some <a href="https://cimsec.org/the-future-is-unmanned-why-the-navys-next-generation-fighter-shouldnt-have-a-pilot/" target="_top">argue</a> the Navy's <a href="https://news.usni.org/2020/08/18/navy-quietly-starts-development-of-next-generation-carrier-fighter-plans-call-for-manned-long-range-aircraft" target="_top">next carrier-</a><a href="https://news.usni.org/2020/08/18/navy-quietly-starts-development-of-next-generation-carrier-fighter-plans-call-for-manned-long-range-aircraft" target="_top">based</a><a href="https://news.usni.org/2020/08/18/navy-quietly-starts-development-of-next-generation-carrier-fighter-plans-call-for-manned-long-range-aircraft" target="_top"> fighter</a> should be unmanned as well.The idea may not be so far-fetched; last summer, an artificial-intelligence program developed by Heron Systems <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ai-just-beat-a-human-pilot-in-a-simulated-dogfight-2020-8" target="_top">defeated a US Air Force F-16 pilot</a> in five simulated dogfights. Heron Systems claimed the program went through 4 billion simulations before the event, though <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/navy-pilot-not-surprised-ai-beat-human-in-simulated-dogfight-2020-8" target="_top">former fighter pilots told Insider the program still wasn't comparable to a human pilot</a>."These sustained investments will yield new capabilities extending well beyond the effectiveness of standalone platforms or human-centered systems," Thomas Harker, acting Secretary of the Navy, said in the service's <a href="https://www.navy.mil/Portals/1/Strategic/20210315%20Unmanned%20Campaign_Final_LowRes.pdf?ver=LtCZ-BPlWki6vCBTdgtDMA%3D%3D" target="_top">recently released</a> Unmanned Campaign Framework. "They will transform naval warfare by providing asymmetric advantages to each and every sailor and Marine."
