India are all set to host the South Africa team for the five <keyword id="7389867" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="t20-match-series" source="Orion">T20 match series</keyword>, which will be played across the country in June, shortly after the completion of IPL 2022. The BCCI has already confirmed that the IPL will be held in Mumbai and Pune from March 26 to May 29 and just about 10 days later, the <keyword id="18238" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="t20" source="Orion">T20</keyword> series against Proteas will begin. India to host South Africa for five T20Is in June, and all venues have been finalised

Ahmedabad, March 12 (IANS) The Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera will be filled up to 50 per cent of its capacity during the five-match T20I series between India and England that starts on Friday, the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) said. "Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has decided to use only 50 per cent capacity of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the five T20 Internationals to be played here between India and England from March 12, 2021 to March 20, 2021. All the COVID-19 related precautions have been taken and all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed," said the GCA in its statement. "Up to 50% tickets will be issued on the online and offline ticketing platforms for these matches," GCA vice-president Dhanraj Nathwani said. The GCA further said that the stadium, which also hosted the third and fourth Tests between India and England in February and March, has been sanitised. "All COVID-19 guidelines are being strictly adhered to and special task force committees have been set up to ensure that all required safety measures are implemented and followed," said the GCA. The first T20I will be followed by the second match on March 14, the third on March 16, the fourth T20I on March 18 and the fifth on March 20.

A victory over Afghanistan paired with a loss to Namibia would see them relying on both India and Namibia's results and NRR. A win over Namibia and then a defeat to Afghanistan would also see it come down to NRR, with three teams potentially level on six points after five matches. Afghanistan have the edge currently over New Zealand on NRR, and India have the advantage of playing the last game in the group so would know exactly the permutations involved. In short: Victory over New Zealand could be enough for Afghanistan, but NRR is still vital Mathematically, Namibia are still in contention for the lone qualification spot from this group. Having registered a memorable win over Scotland in their first-ever Super 12 match, Namibia are still in the chase despite chastening defeats to Afghanistan and Pakistan. In an unexpected twist of events, the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ICC">ICC</a> has announced they'll shift the March 19 World Twenty20 match from Dharmshala to Kolkata at the last minute due to 'security concerns'. 
 
On Tuesday evening, Pakistan had earlier asked the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ICC">International Cricket Council</a> (ICC) and the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Board+of+Control+for+Cricket+in+India">Board of Control for Cricket in India</a> (<keyword id="6354756" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="BCCI">BCCI</keyword>) to shift the match. 
	<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=David+Richardson">David Richardson</a>, CEO, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ICC">ICC</a> said, "It's unprecedented and unfortunate that these concerns were raised by the government in recent times. Its too early for us to consider disciplinary action against the State association."

They will take on Bangladesh at the same venue where they defeated Australia and the spin friendly conditions will aide them. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have already given up. Although they do have a minuscule chance of progressing to the semifinals, back-to-back defeats against Australia and India have deflated their confidence. "To be honest, I don't think we have a chance to play the semi-final anymore after this loss (against India)," senior all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said on Saturday. Bangladesh have struggled with their batting throughout the tournament. The lack of power-hitters has also hurt them. The underwhelming performance of opener Litton Das and Tanzid Khan has also compounded their woes. However, Towid Hridoy and leg spinner Rishad Hossain have impressed with their performance.The game against Afghanistan is an opportunity for them to end their campiagn on a high. "But having said that, the next game will be an opportunity for us to get a win on our belt before we finish up this tournament," Shakib said "We'd love to finish this tournament on a high. We have to face Afghanistan which is a very good side. So, we have to be at our best to be able to win against them," he added.
