Zoom faced a lot of heat for its unresolved security concerns which used to let hackers barge into any video calls. Thousands of people dropped negative comments which brought the ratings down from 4.5 star to 2.0. However, the ratings were back to 4.0 a few days later — more so Google did not comment on how that happened. TikTok suspended Siddiqui’s account for violating “multiple community terms.” Twitter users who saw the video are angry and furious saying that Siddiqui should be behind the bars for promoting acid attacks on girls who reject marriage or relationship proposals. A large number of people including Rekha Sharma, chairperson of National Commission for women called for a ban on the application. Bollywood Star Anupam Kher too tweeted “Ban TikTok”. #BanTikTok has been the top trend on Twitter since 3 days now.
